Takhotep was working on a new polymorph spell, but misjudged and was trapped in the form of a rat. He accidentally wound up within Pishtel's control radius and was forced to serve with her in the sewers until the PCs broke her control.
His polymorph is locked in place by a complicated string knot around his neck. Untying it will lift the spell. He will trace the PCs and try to get them to help him break the spell.
