Symbols have power, and in a Civil war? That is 10 times worse, because her enemies will use that to their advantage. If those are merchant ships, soon goods will stop flowing because people are afraid to sail for fear of losing their ships. Commerce will dry up and then it will be hard to Pay people. Despite how noble you all are, surely the general military still is paid and won’t be excited to learn that they have no way of being compensated?
