[Branwyn (Lisa)] Well, you see, I would appreciate your help. It is a kind offer. However, I think you and I might not get along too well.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I hear you have been being hard on Miller, my friend. Was he not pure enough for you?

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] Miller? I've nothing against the man. We just tried several ... methods.. of trying to elicit information. Nothing was done to harm him or his business. He was remarkably close-mouthed about you, if that reassures you at all.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] And the last time I sent people to Skull Church, they came back with a ring.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] It is not a good ring. Not at all.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Would you put on this ring if by using it, it would help defeat a greater evil?

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] That's not all they came back with, from what I hear. Lord Tiberius, I'm glad to see you alive and well.

[Lord Tiberius (Master)] I am always glad to be alive

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] Using Evil to defeat Evil only results in a victory for Evil.

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] Is that what happened to your hand?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Yes as a matter of fact it was. But evil was not victorious and that evil has been destroyed

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I conquered it. It did not conquer me. But it leaves a scar

Brer Necholas (TMO) nods. "Hmm... I hope you are right, for your sake. Your soul took quite a wound there. I hope not too badly to eventually heal rather than consume you.

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] Hmm, why would I want to do that? Are you planning on releasing more evil upon this realm?

Branwyn (Lisa) smiles "No, I think we have quite enough. I will clear that church once and for all this time."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] But if that means using a ring that can command undead rather than having to fight every one of them while there are bigger targets to deal with? I have no problem with that.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] My life is gray. Your Brotherhood. Black and white

Brer Necholas (TMO) nods in agreement. "A fine sentiment, Blessed. If you would permit us to help you, perhaps we can avoid the necessity of exposing you to more Evil. I would not like to have you Fall."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] My goal is to clear that church of evil and NOT have to lose anyone I care about.

Brer Necholas (TMO) grins wide. "That works perfectly then. You've expressed already how little you care for us."

Branwyn (Lisa) laughs

[Branwyn (Lisa)] And what do you want in return for your assistance?

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] Hmmm.. I may ask some questions from time to time. Answer as many as you think you safely can.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You want to risk your lives for answers to questions?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] No gold?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Outrageously dangerous quests that need accomplishing?

Brer Necholas (TMO) frowns. "What else is The Brotherhood but risking your life on outrageously dangerous quests that need accomplishing?"

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Yes, that's right. Don't need us for that!

Branwyn (Lisa) laughs again

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] I would love to have your help on our quests, if you ever see fit to offer.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] But that dagger you referred to? That was a quest in return for my husband's life and everyone I cared about was in danger of death. No one could have conquered that dagger but me. I would do it again in a heartbeat for the result we got

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] Dying for a good cause is worthy. But there are dangers worse than death. If you expose yourself to Evil in that way too often, eventually it will win. What would that dagger have made you do if you hadn't been strong enough?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] But I was. That's all that matters

[Branwyn (Lisa)] It could not sit there for someone else to pick up. Someone had to take it or a weaker person would have and caused the evil you speak of

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Sometimes you must risk everything

Brer Necholas (TMO) grits his teeth. "It may be as you say, but listen to yourself. Having won once, you are now stating your willingness to do it again, before you have finished healing from last time. Just because the poison did not kill you the first time, does not mean you are immune to it."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Well it is gone now.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] But if you wish to help in exchange for questions and answers, I will not refuse.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Too much time has passed and I do not know the state of affairs at the church.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I could and would appreciate your help

Brer Necholas (TMO) shakes his head. "Forgive me, but it is not gone. The dagger may be, but I saw the damage to your soul clearly when you came in. Your whole hand appears burnt."

Branwyn (Lisa) looks at it and then up at Necholas

[Brer Necholas (TMO)] Not physically. The damage to your soul, your spirit.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I have all the people you see here and more in exchange for a burn. A mad woman and man are no more. Their reign of evil is over.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] My soul fills with joy as I think of that

[Branwyn (Lisa)] It will heal faster than my hand.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You may come with us to Dragon Fen and stay with us as we prepare for the trip.
