GM: SO question... I have this small adventure set for you, then a longer three module set of adventures

seyfert: Yum! I almost got those yesterday but craved fried pickles more. Unfortunately, now I'll be craving onion rings until I find some, lol

GM: Good onion rings? or just Burger King onion rings

seyfert: Hmm dunno? Too limited detail for brain to immediately consider. Gotta think.

wyjyoon: Oops hehe : ) Go get some for yourself for the upcoming weekend. And no, they look good!

seyfert: I haven't been to BK in... I don't know how long. What about Sonic? Those are good to me. They'd suffice.

GM: It is my take on the trilogy of Evil Tide, Night of the Shark, and Sea of Blood

GM: For the finalle you need about 50 to 70 total levels

seyfert: Welp Evil Tide is the sixth book in the series and 440 pages so.... guess I'll just get the summary via this game, lol

GM: Want to be sure that Wendy understands things so that Temp can be confident in her declarations

GM: At the Catherdral she has been told/assigned to go adventuring with this group and report back when she visits the Cathedral occasionally

GM: AND the Church wants to know where and what they find

GM: She was honest, she told you she was with the Cathedral, she is a Priestess

seyfert: and back to the dads point, Vee is the shadiest here, and she does NOT need anyone else to report on her dealings

GM: and LOL with Carissa about that convincing story

seyfert: versus the rest of the group being... existing so who cares if she tells her dads about the nobodies? ;)

GM: remember the CHURCH runs most of society,

GM: this group has mostly dealt with the Religious side of things so far

GM: but there is a King of this Island

GM: Dukes, etc

GM: and no one has really spent time with that portion of society

seyfert: yeah yeah yeah and then there's the underground, it's all a veneer

GM: pointing out just how pervasive the CHURCH is

seyfert: right which is why we dislike it :)

wyjyoon: So.... is it on Tempe to decide whether or not to be honest about her "reports" or... is she supposed to be more strict about that, character-wise?

GM: BUT in any case this group walks the line of "the church does what it can to make everyone's life better and also stay in charge as much as possible"

GM: versus the baser instincts of adventurers and mob bosses

GM: Temp knows she has to give reports back, and obviously with magic you know when someone is lying

GM: but that does not mean she does not have full autonomy to say what she wants, keep back what she wants

GM: Temp is the reliable person in the group, able to help everyone, make sure that she knows almost everything and then use that knowledge to make herself and the group better more powerful

seyfert: oh no, I meant reliable as in she's a player who's here most nights so that quickly gets you more involved in plot things

GM: In either case Temp gets a boost in her prestige because she has discovered new things

seyfert: BUT depending on how Lemon is feeling, it is an option to remind Lemon given the whole Levi family thing

wyjyoon: I think it's alright? Gloria's Vee's sister, and it's a place everyone can get familiar with. Plus it's part of Osterhold, which means the group has access to more resources.

wyjyoon (Temperance): Oh yeah. What does being Lawful as a priestess look like? Is that just up to the player or... I just can't get my grip on this alignment thing in combination with the church

wyjyoon (Temperance): It doesn't help that most of the party seems chaotic

wyjyoon (Temperance): :D

GM: There is Lawful - Neutral - Chaos

GM: Lawful is rules should apply to everyone and that will be good for everyone

LemonyLemon: I legitimately have never even considered my alignment, ever

seyfert (Vee Barlett): rangers generally need to be chaotic good

GM: Chaos is Everyone should do what they want and that will be good for everyone

GM: Neutral is the balance

GM: Good - Neutral - Evil

GM: Good, everyone should get a fair chance, everyone should have a fair share,

GM: Evil - I should get what I want, the rest who cares

GM: Lawful Good - the needs of the many out wieght the needs of the few

GM: Chaotic Good - the needs of the one outwiegh the needs of the many

GM: In rough terms

wyjyoon (Temperance): Oh okay, that actually clarifies a lot of things

GM: If you are Lawful Evil - you are on the Supreme Court... but really you beleive the law shoudl be used to make yourself better off

GM: Chaotic Evil - you think that what you want shoudl be paramount and I can do what I want who cares what you think

GM: Which leaves many things up to attitude, so Lawful Evil Devils who believe in contracts to steal your soul

GM: Chaotic Angels who believe in smitting anyone who does not believe strongly enough in good

wyjyoon (Temperance): It seems like there's a lot more "collective vs the individual". I think the good and evil is a bit confusing for me just in terms of wording. The explanation clarified that part pretty well : )

GM: and it mirrors the CHURCH

GM: Overall the CHURCH wants people to do well, more people doing well means more worshipers and more worshipers means more power for a Goddess

GM: The Gods powers are "generated" by how many believers they have

GM: The difference in Major, Minor, Lesser Gods

GM: More power means more blessings to increase more worship

GM: and the virtious cycle feeds its self

wyjyoon (Temperance): Wow what have I gotten myself into lol

GM: Zero level farmers are worth 1 worshiper

GM: 7th level priestess is worth FAR more based on level and spells available

GM: a similar thing when accounting for building things as Lemon and Carissa have experienced

GM: But on a world wide scale instead of party level

GM: As you have seen Wendy you can play a Priestess and be mostly out of the polotics and general CHURCH things

GM: Politics

GM: ALso by the way Creation Station Monthly was about Audio Books, if you have not listened yet Carissa

GM: I know Lemon does not listen to me

seyfert (Vee Barlett): I don't actually listen to a lot of audiobooks or podcasts. They fall in the "Media" category like TV. I'll listen to maybe 2 or 3 total a year. I prefer quiet reading OR blasting my music

Temperance: I have this particular spell that I think could be suitable. It has to do with probing his thoughts. Should he cooperate, I would be able to discern that he keep his promise.

MeLange: Lila, I can assure you that he will return the ship. I give my word that if he doesn't, it's because we're all dead. And because I could not love one who goes back on their word

Temperance: You could have him shave, but I do not have the brute strength to hold him down if he's unwilling.

MeLange: but we won't all die, so you'll get your ship back

Vee Barlett: Nah, just gotta get him drunk or wait until he asleep.

Lila: Temperance can you make MeLange loose his strength if Levi does not keep his promise?

Temperance: So you are saying that because Melange states he trusts Levi to return the ship, should Levi not, then Melange should suffer part of the consequences.

Lila: Yes that seems fair

MeLange: Not that I trust him to do it on his own, that I would ensure he does

Lila: If Levi does believe so much in MeLange, and if MeLange trusts Levi then their fates can be tied together

Temperance: flips through the pages of her notes once more.

MeLange: Well alright then, if that's the price and there no alternative, then sign me up

Temperance: As long as both parties are willing, I will see what I can do.

Shislif (MeLange): well it's good cause you get the conflict but they didn't have to sleep together, more family friendly

Temperance: I'm not sure about sexy, but it's definitely one of the best ones I've seen.
