After the battle with the scrags, Lirt and Tempe go sleep and don't wake up for 8 hrs. Levi and Vee take second watch. The group is currently 36 miles from Mizzen.
Vee conducts all her usual nautical skill checks, but sadly her navigation seems a little off.

Levi, in turn, then conducts his skills and finds he is alert and has a good handle on the direction and distance of the boat in relation to the course laid out.

Squirming mass you are sailing through some of them wriggling up onto the decking

So Vee SWERVES and jostles everyone on the boat to split through the mass of snakes in the water
but the ones on the deck are still there
Levi Reed: throws a fish at the closest ones
Carissa (Vee Barlett): can she push them off with her trident? not trying to attack but like... sweet them off?
Vee Barlett tries to push the Water snakes off the boat with her trident. She succeeds in removing some, but some snakes remain on the deck.
Levi Reed: looks for a mop
Vee Barlett : [Translation] Come on, fellas. Let's not start nothin' yeah? Off you go into the water.
Levi Reed: I found a mop! Can we use that?
Vee Barlett: Yeah get yerself distance to sweep them off
Vee Barlett tries to push the Water snakes off the boat with her trident and the remainder splash harmlessly back into the sea
Levi holds the mop up triumphantly
Vee Barlett: Gotta respect snakes but....
