Born in Fire - In Character discussions.

Miranda smiles at Kristelle. "I like a girl who can take charge and help the group at the same time. The corporal seem more concerned about us being tested then getting us out of a situation we should never be in. If we are all that is left of Dragon Slayer company that may I sugest we stop callng ourselves Dragon Slayer Company. Seems like asking from trouble. We could be the Swamp Buddies or Zombie Slayers, I don't care as long as no one makes me pay to the actions of those hired before me."

Branwyn, feeling a little guilty for not doing much that evening, thanks Kristelle for organizing all the supplies found in the locked room. Finally looking into the crates herself, Branwyn picks up two daggers, thinking it would not be a bad idea to have a few spares.

As she listened to the conversation throughout the night, something kept nagging at her about the sword that was found. Branwyn had never met or heard of anyone named Ear in her life. Finally speaking up she asks, "Could Ear really be initials instead of a name? This mysterious E.A.R. could be the owner of this chest and its contents. The magical items are also very interesting. Although the lock on the scroll is magic, it may contain a simple letter or message, instead of a spell, that was meant to be kept hidden. It might help explain the great lengths taken to keep people out of this room, like the fog, and give us some clues as to why there are zombies under a tavern and in general what is so terribly wrong with this place. Not that I can be assured of opening it, I would take a closer look at the lock on the scroll when I get a chance."

Kristelle glances at her companions as they sort through coins and bags, redistributing what they hold. She notices Miranda struggling with the weight of the gold ingot; although the ingot is not too heavy for Miranda to carry, it does comprise the bulk of what she can tote without getting worn out. "I'll take care of that, Miranda," Kristelle offers, slipping the ingot into the bottom of her pack. "I'll barely even notice it's there," she continues with a chuckle.

Imari glances at the group, "I still wonder why a great dragon would come down here. Perhaps the name dragonslayers has irked her, or perhaps it is this discovery of undead we have found. I could understand a dragon retaliating against an incursion of the vampire lords into its territory. I wish we had a map to see where the dragon's territory is and where the vampire lords are. Perhaps that would give us a clue. Or maybe as mercenaries it really is none of our concern and we just fly to where we are ordered. And while a raven isn't too curious, I do wonder at the door and floor. I'd like to know what they conceal."

When the group gets back together, Miranda clears her throat.
: "I tried to tell you someone would be coming this way. I might have been wrong about this being a planed test but it seemed so surreal. I did not think the child arm was real, but now that I know it is, it really worries me. My adopted mother, my high priest and my brother all tell me I over think things. I'll try to keep it to a minimum and only say what I think it important. As far as the issues at hand, tomorrow (today?) I can cast a spell to make our strongest person stronger if you think it will help move the stone or break down the door. I could do two or three but then I would have less spells so then you would be in trouble if we get hurt. And, just in case there is not a good ladder down, I can use a wind column to float myself down, though I've never tried it on someone else. I wish by brother was here. Oh, sorry, am I talking too much. I'll be quiet now.
