Baikal River
The eastern edges of Drillian are bound by the large escarpment that forms the great plateau. At the point where the edge of this escarpment and Lake Peipus meet is the city of Rivers Bend. Flowing south from Rivers Bend the Baikal River slowly separates out into several channels that form the mass of swamps and marshes that make up central Drillian. The Queens Channel and the Spear Channel both lead deeper into north central Drillian.
After flowing south through swamps for more than 160 miles the Baikal begins to wind out of the swamps and travel through much more solid land. This area that has been reclaimed by the hard work of many farmers and local lords. This stretch of river gives Drillian another 120 miles of solid land for farming and other enterprises before winding back into the Great Swamp and dispersing into many more channels. The Farmers Channel is considered the farthest south free flowing water that can be identified as being part of the Baikal.
