Birthday Game 2026
The Big Curve - Southern Cross Era - BOB's Birthday Game
17 hours of roleplay in 29 hours of time. A great way to spend a weekend.
This year for BOB's Birthday Game we continued the story in the Kingdom of Jillingrad. The group had been in Northwatch for two nights and a day when they went to see the 200th anniversary ceremony for the Shrine of the Lady of the Vanquished.
With the help of two town guards and a local priestess the group traveled from town to the shrine. Once there things were proceeding well until alarm bells rang out from the town and the head priest left the group in charge of guarding the shrine while he and the rest went to defend the town. It emerged that the rumors of an orc raid were true; but on the town not the shrine. Then the group discovered that there was an orc raid on the shrine itself also. They were successful in defeating the attack on the shrine after a battle with an orc band that outnumbered them by more than three to one.
With smart spell casting, good use of missile weapons, and a bit of patience the group's tactics won the day. They captured one orc as a prisoner to take back to town. When returning to town they found that the primary orc band had done much damage to the town before they were beaten back.

Character Quotes
Sooo many amazing quotes from these sessions.
Here is just one that I managed to snag on Friday night.
GM: The Lady's Keep
jmee (Coco - Town Guard - Jungle Giant): certainly don't trust them to stay in an inn on their own at this point?
Lisa (Glimber Silvernose): all fancy places are giant sized
Reads (Dex Grittius): I think we'd know it's "safer" but not that they're safe since Glimber is tiny and they admitting to drinking poison
Feed Back & Recollections
This year's game proved again that we have wonderful people playing this game. Bringing in three new players just for the weekend without missing a beat. The new guest players were amazing, everyone enjoyed the sessions, and new stories to be told for a long time to come.
