Lying across the mouth of the Sceenna river Achild has a shallower harbor than the city of Osterhold farther north so they do not attract the larger naval vessels. They make up for this by hosting a large fishing fleet. There is a small library controlled by an old mage, Maktaba. She is strict with who can borrow any materials, and would rather they sit in front of her and read so she can make sure that they are treating the materials with respect. The library has a focus on songs, with some magical writings in her restricted section.
