Boyar
Boyar is a small town hidden away in a heavily wooded valley on the western slopes of the Central Mountains in Blackwater. The town is deep in the forest, with no track wide enough for a horse to enter the steeply sided valley. The handful of farmers in town depend on goats and kholops rather than cattle or horses.
One hope for families is for a son or daughter to find work in a mercenary unit or become an adventurer. Corporal Antero Hortswaff and Sergent Snowfoot are examples of town folk who left to make names for themselves.
