Central Island Group

The ocean that lies on the southern edge of the Western World has a large archipelago that stretches from the northeast to the southwest. This is one of the five seas that mariners refer to and those in the Western World think of as "The Sea". The southern part of the Central Area and the western coast of Kapirimtiya influence the north is the Northern Island Group as well as the Central Island group. Farther to the south is the Southern Island Group.

Throughout the Central Island Group there are many different cultures and societies. The Keldorian faith has the largest following throughout the area, with the Norse and Greek religions also garnering substantial support.

The primary mode of transportation throughout the islands is obviously by boat of some sort. Some of the islands favor oars over sails because of the cost of maintaining such vessels. Most of the long-range traders use sail power, with the occasional mage who will captain a ship that is towed by creatures or summoned beings. The Central Island group has many islands close together yet also separated from the mainland by the Maelstrom. The Maelstrom is the name for the extreme current that flows past the western shores of the Kingdom of Jillingrad that if not navigate successfully can throw a ship into an open ocean, weeks away from any land.

The Kingdom of Jillingrad

The Kingdom of Jillingrad is the largest organized area that many travelers encounter when sailing north or south along the western coast of Kapirimtiya and trying to enter the Central Islands.
