Chonny's concept
Chonny's character concept was inspired by the concept of a mage having faith without worshiping a god. I generaly invisioned mages as athiesits; having the ablity to shoot lightnig bolts and change shape by just knowing the right combination of words, materials and gestures makes one think they understand the world. Chonny was diffrent. He believed he was a priest who served Fate. He was the hand of Fate. In class, he was a mage, had to learn spells and cast like a mage. Ok, he was a Fighter Mage. He used a Scimitar and had a few fighter skills that came from a new set of rules. He had blind fighting and prone fighting, he had Leeping and Instand Stand so he was monk like. He had higher hitpoint, faster movement and weapond specilazation, normaly not allowed to multi class characters. (Maybe I have broken a few rules) He had follower without a keep and they were more like a rangers follower. But what everyone remembers about Chonny is his "preaching". He did not try and get other to follow him so much about the fact that he thought he was a priest. It was a running joke through out his short life. That was one of the reasons it was so easy to kill off such a great character to teleport to the sun to destroy the Hand of Vecna. His Faith let him know it was his calling.
