Contrain
This is a very large island towards the middle of the Island Kingdoms. Well over three hundred miles long and over one hundred miles at the midpoint Contrain is known for the mountains that form the spine of the island and are high enough to have snow on their peaks. There are several Baronies on the island and the rivalries occasionally heat up to the level of armed conflict. Most of the time it is kept to spying and the well timed pirate raid.
The Isle of Contrain Conventions (ICC Code in Pirate's parlance) is a treaty that has been signed by almost all of the various powers in the Island Kingdoms. It covers basic sovereignty and human rights including hostage and ransom rules. Many pirates claim to follow the ICC Code so their actions seem more justified, though they are pirates afterall.
