Dardens Exile

When political opinion in the city turned against the bombastic wizard (or zealous demagogue) Darden, he declared that he would abandon the city? and exile himself among the tribes to the south. He made it as far as this island before giving up, and lived there for a time as a hermit.

Later other mages have used this island as their base of operations to remain outside of the city and the immediate reach of the guards.
