Oakbarrel Island

Decades ago, a huge ship laden with fine spirits from a famous distillery ran aground here and its cargo was spilled into the sea. For some time locals would occasionally find sealed barrels around the place and drinking trips to this island from the City became something of a fashion. There may still be barrels about. They would be highly valuable after so many years.

The locals were happy to find a new name for this island. The previous name came from the institution that was build on the island to house plague victims called the Grey House.
