On the wild barren southern cliffs stands the few stone buildings of Pilk, inhabited by some insular fishing families who have a network of rope ladders and scaffolds that they use to descend into the nearby cove to catch prodigious numbers of fish. This is one of the most isolated places in the Principality because it is dangerous to get too close to the cliffs from the Narva River.
