The Knife - Dryads Lair - City Proper
Like an inversion of the Traders’ Quarter is borders, The Knife is home to many of the criminal parts of the Dryads Lair economy. Cutting between the political districts to the north and the wealthy neighbourhoods to the west, this district is accepted by most citizens as a necessary part of the city. Though it has an unsavoury reputation, The Knife is also home to many legitimate businesses who cannot afford to operate elsewhere in the city, and skilled artisans of all sorts can be found here, as well as some more esoteric trades.
14. The Golden Toad: A sprawling tavern that rents back rooms for private meetings, this place has carried on a rivalry with the Silver Frog for as long as anyone can remember. Its claim to fame is that it was once the favourite watering hold of that roguish schemer and warrior witch Gwyfthn, when she and her companion The Red Wolf called Dryads Lair home.
