[MarioCS] here's a super prelim text i was working on, many avenues to explore.:

[Master] go for it will be quiet

[MarioCS] About XXXX years back, the evil ruler hired a magic user to use fireballs to clear a forest where XXX lived. he commissioned 8 magic users, who used their spells to very quickly kill an entire forest, and all its inhabitants, including the Tree of Life of the XXX clan. The surviving elvish clans quickly got to work creating ways to prevent this. One clan created a bow, another made fireproof armor. The XXX clan devised a sword that could defeat magic users.

[MarioCS] i thought maybe the MU who created it was killed in battle, and the sword remained on the enchanting table for a long while until someone encountered it

[MarioCS] hard to decide how a sword, created by a MU, wouild want to harm MU's

[Master] well the primary way to create an intelligent weapon is to trap the soul of someone in it

[MarioCS] oh, didnt know that

[Master] so that could very well make that person hate magic users right there

[Master] or could be made by a priest

[Master] imbued by god to hunt down magic users

[Master] who get their dirty power from the devil

[MarioCS] that works too

[Master] or an orc warlock etc. created it to go after the elven magic users

[Master] tons of possibilities

[MarioCS] very many, i think i do like it being an Elven sword. Saw some images on Google

[Master] for you the things I think you will care about are Wis and Int

[Master] the rest will not really be a difference by splitting

[Master] for the Int side there is no real cost, because you are not a mage

[Master] mages need high to help them learn spells

[Master] you would gain an additional 3rd level spell to cast every day

[Master] but at the cost of only a plus 1 instead of a plus 2 to your saves against others casting spells at you

[Master] just if you have a preference for your vision on who she is

[Carissa] But it's there and I think I'm leaning towards keeping the saves...
