[Farmer #2] so he slept with a dragon after killing a demon?

x[Antarias (mikE)] The demon was able to steal some of his current mate's eggs and was planning on using them for some foul purpose.

[Farmer #2] is that what is wrong with paladins?

x[Antarias (mikE)] No, my FATHER is a dragon.

[Farmer #1] shhhh

x[Antarias (mikE)] My brother's father is an elf.

x[Antarias (mikE)] So the dragon eventually mated with my mother, a dwarf.

[Farmer #3] of course, I know that I would sleep with a dwarf right away after a war

x[Antarias (mikE)] And the demon, to get revenge, sent an incubus, or some other thing, to seduse the priest's wife.

[Jennifer] Is there going to be a geneology test?

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] It's sort of a legend I picked up from a man who comes from a land where rain is rare and the lands are covered in sand.

[Inn Keep] if it is that dry there must me a good many inns there

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] Some of the legend is somewhat lost in the translation but I shall recite it as best I can. People there tend to stay near any body of water. A small pond there is more valuable than gold here.

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] *thinks "My! The lives these adventurers lead!"*

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] Long ago there was a great holy warrior named Wathik Ya-Allah. This man was an increadible warrior who never once knew defeat. He was sworn to protect the Sultan of a city that no longer exists, called Rasier. None did the Sultan trust more with his life than Wathik."

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "One day an efreeti came to the town and demanded hospitality within the palace. Not wishing to insult such a powerful creature, especially considering the destructive streak of that particular type of genie, she was treated like royalty and given every desire she wished for. Unfortunately, this efreeti was insulted, though how has been lost to time. Knowing efreet, it could have been anything. She told the sultan that he would pay for the outrage and disappeared in a burst of fire."

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "For years the sultan was on edge. Wathik tried to assure the sultan that no harm would come to him as long as he was on guard. While this did soothe the sultan somewhat, he still sought the aid of the most powerful sha'irs he could find."

[Farmer #2] siounds like a woman I know

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "One such sha'ir was a woman and seemed quite powerful as she had not only one gen bound to her service but many different types of djinni bound to her as well. She offered to forever bind the efreeti to the sultan so that she may never be able to cause harm to him or his kingdom. He readily agreed and asked her price, anything in his kingdom would be hers."

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "It did not take her long to decide on her payment. For her service, she wished to be wed to Wathik. The sultan agreed and that evening Wathik and the sha'ir were wed. Though Wathik did not wish to be married, the woman was beautiful and powerful as well. More importantly however, he would protect the city he loved by devoting his love to this woman."

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] How romantic!

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] Are you listening, dear?

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "The next day the sha'ir gave the sultan a ring and told him the deed was done. He need only rub the ring and the efreeti would be summoned under his control. He wasted no time and rubbed the ring. With a burst of flame the efreeti appeared, her flames but a pale comparison to her burning fury. The sultan at first feared that the magic would not hold her off, but the efreeti bowed and asked him, 'What do you ask of me master?'"

[Farmer #3] ye yes, very very romantic

Farmer #3 whispers, what was that? she was on fire? she did what?

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "The sultan was overjoyed and dismissed the sha'ir to live happily with Wathik. Over the next few weeks, the sultan needed Wathik less and less and so he was allowed to spend more time with his new wife. It was not long before he grew deeply in love with her and their passions heated their home on the cold desert nights."

[Valdorick] and WAM the sultan was crushed by the effritti?

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "Not quite" ::chuckles:: "After one such night, the sha'ir seemed distant. Wathik asked what was wrong and she hesitated before speaking. 'My love, you trust me do you not?' she asked. 'Without question my dearest. Why do you ask me this?' he said."

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] *sighs* "Their passions heated their home...." *gives husband a pointed look*

[Farmer #3] looks and raises an eyebrow, what. I refilled the firewood last week

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "She closed her eyes, her body was shaking and she seemed genuinely terrified of something. Finally she spoke again, 'It is about the efreeti... I fear my magics may have not been as strong as I had hoped. I believe the efreeti has broken the magical bindings I wove and has since switched places with our beloved sultan. I did not wish her to realize my suspicions so I have remained silent until I could be sure. You are mighty my love and perhaps you could free our sultan. Destroy the efreeti and the sultan will be freed and all will be set right.'"

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "Wathik agreed to this and the next day they went together to the sultan's throne room. The sultan greeted them as they entered, completely unaware of their suspicions. Before he could react, Wathik drew his mighty scimitar and slayed the sultan instantly. A dark cloud fell upon the palace and the sha'ir began to laugh. Her clothes burst into flame and revealed the efreeti."

[Farmer #3] see,

[Farmer #3] the dangers of a good looking woman

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "Wathik was horrified and with tears in his eyes he attacked the efreeti. She vanished and appeared outside. There she began laying waste to the town. The sultan's guard immeadiately turned upon the traitor. Wathik defended himself and soon every guard in the palace was slain. Fueled by hatred and bloodlust, he then went on to kill every person in the palace, and then the town, all to hide his actions. The city burned and was reduced to ruins under the destructive hands of the efreeti, almost none survived the onslaught."

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] I see nothing! Was he not warmed by their shared passions?!

x[Antarias (mikE)] Dangers of ANY woman, really.

[Farmer #3] always afraid I tell you, always afraid of what will happen

[Valdorick] another love poem from the Paladin,

[Valdorick] you are a charmer

[Lorie] :: stomps on Antarias' foot ::

x[Alastair (BiBo!!!)] "With the city destroyed, the efreeti vanished and Wathik stood exhausted in the ruins of the city he loved. The dark cloud that had fell upon the palace, fell upon him, stripping the flesh from his bones and turning him into a creature neither dead, nor alive but filled with a burning hatred for all life. He entered what was left of the palace and it crumbled around him, burying him forever. The shifting desert sands covered the city and that was to be the last of him. Though it is said that on some nights one can hear the lonely cries of Wathik, morning his lost betrayed love."

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] Well, as I said, the details of the nights in this castle were never made clear to me.

[Lorie] She's probably a vampire herself... which is why no one ever wanted to leave

Farmer #1 sighs,

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] But I /can/ tell you that she was never seen to be large with child.

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] One day, a strange and hideous creature came to the gates of the castle.

[Inn Keep] except for the knights

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] The men were mystified, for they had never seen such a creature before. It was an old crone, but of course they had never seen any woman besides their mistress before, much less an aged woman such as this!

[Farmer #2] should come to my house some morning if they want to see an oldcrone

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] *glares at Inn Keep* Oh, all right! Then she asked to see the queen, they brought her there, not knowing what the consequences would be, and the queen disappeared into a pile of dust, poof, leaving the poor helpless men to fend for themselves.

[Farmer #3] well she usally ends it much better than that

x[Farmer #3's wife (Jennifer)] They never saw her or the crone again, and their nights were much colder from then on.

[Farmer #3] it is quite amusting

[Farmer #3] she has gone on before about some of the...
