Duane was the owner of the local comic book store. He was very into comics but sold roleplaying stuff as is traditional. When several of my players started frequenting his store, he was appreciative of the business. He became interested in what a roleplaying game was like and found time in his schedule to come play with us for a few months.

He had a flair for roleplaying that came from his immersion in comic books. One memorable night during a session he was able to create a poem on the spot for a lady in the game that won acclaim from everyone at the table.
