Main / FinglassWill

This is the last will and testament of Finglas Galwythe. If you are reading this, it would mean I have passed on from the plane of existence in an ill fated adventure. I ask that you mourn me not. Know that I am now home with my god and my people in the bright lands. I will take this moment now to thank those I must thank. Those who may still live.

I have gained, and sadly, lost many good friends since I have come of age and left my home. Some friends have been blessed with a long life and died in their beds surrounded by family and friends, but some have died early doing good deeds that will surely earn them rewards from their gods in the heavens. I only hope that my death has helped to save some of those friends, and prevented their deaths.

First, I ask of whoever survives me a great favor. Take my body and my bow to my family. I wish to be laid to rest under the boughs of the trees I was born under. Give the bow to my father and tell him of my passing. Please tell it gently and spare my mother as much grief as possible.

If you did not go with me, then this falls to you my brother. Anterias, though you are not brother by any blood you are truly family to me. You have stood by me and aided me in many ways since you have come to my side in the DragonSlayers. Take care of the city we built together.

Val, though I disliked you since your birth, recent events have led me to look at you with new eyes. Thank you for standing by Anterias in my hour of need. You have even grown since them into a more responsible member of our family. Perhaps mother was right in what she saw in you since your birth. Help Anterias after my time here is done. Help mother with her sorrow.

Now, for my companions.

Bradwarden, aid Anterias and defend our city. Be strong and run swiftly, friend.

Dilneas, take care of the temple for me. You are strong enough in your faith to lead it without me. Work with Anterias to keep the city from harm and in Corellon’s blessings.

To the Lady Kylia: I give to you my thanks good Lady of the Celts. I know that it means much to let a different god into your temple. But this is just what you did when you welcomed me into your keep. Thank you for that honor. I pray that you have survived past my untimely death, and I hope you continue to do good works in this wold. I see underneath your armored exterior, and know that there lies a deep caring for your people and your friends. I hope that this continues as long as you live. If my brother Anterias has perished alongside of me, then I ask that you would do his duties. Take my body and my possessions home, please.

To the Lord Paul: I am glad I was able to meet a man such as yourself. I see many good qualities in you, and know that your influence has greatly shaped the Dragon Slayers to become who they are today. I wish you the best of luck with your protectorate, and hope your troubles as leader there never quell the adventurous spirit within you. Also, remember to look beyond your own tower walls every once in a while. Do not become too insular and hidebound.

Good luck, and may the blessings of the elves go with you.
