[Mike] i'll have to get closer to see if i can do that

[Master] I think I tracked down what happened

[Mike] what's that?

[Master] there is an error in Klooge now with the latest Java update

[Master] BUT

[Master] I can work around it

[Master] however it takes 9 hours to transfer all the data to the new set up

[Mike] wow

[Master] several gigs worth of stuff

[Mike] is klooge not being supported anymore?

[Master] he has not released an update in 4 years

[Mike] wow

[Master] the boards are mostly dead

[Master] that is why I was looking around

[Master] and tabletop WILL be great

[Mike] then i hhope tabletop gets up and running real quick like

[Master] but for now it will be like Klooge was in the early days

[Master] lots of updates

[Master] etc.

[Master] not quite to version .5 yes

[Master] but it is useable

[Mike] well when it's actually up and running i'll come over and help with data input or whatever you need to get it up and running asap

[Master] the bigest things that are wrong for our game is the lack of automatic weapons, spells, proficiencies

[Master] we might be using it next session

[Master] there are never any connection issues there, as it is a Unity based game, so hosted in varous parts of the world, etc.

[Master] what I would go for then, to be fun easy to replicate is Grimm

[Mike] yup. i imagine that most of the beliefs would be eastern

[Lisa] can you just re-install an earlier version?

[Master] and Lisa I know it is java because there is a whole new set of error messages

[Master] that is how this is working

[Mike] but i want information on any and all european supernatural beliefs

[Master] I am installing 3.4.3

[Master] then doing an upgrade

[Master] 3.4.5 on its own no longer works as an install as far as I can tell

[Lisa] I meant earlier version of java

[Master] but I spent about 4 hours today working through things and screaming and cursing

[Master] one of the problems with how things are right now is my own fault

[Lisa] you would only need to get the java version you were using 2 weeks ago

[Master] I clicked Move instead of Copy

[Mike] sounds mostly like klooge's fault. not being supported and updated anymore

[Master] it is also a memory issue

[Master] if I change the file to the increased memory?

[Master] the program does not work

[Master] if I leave it at the original 512 then it does work

[Master] no clue why

[Mike] huh. you ever have that moment when you sit there and wonder if you took a shower at all that day?

[Master] you have to do VERY little to not need a shower

[Mike] guess it's just me then. well, that's pretty much what i do all day in the summer. =P

[Mike] and a new shampoo leaves my hair stiffer and not as silky smooth, so sometimes i forget.

[Imari (Mike)] "We lock up the horses."

[Imari (Mike)] "And we feed him regularly so he knows he doesn't have to eat the horses he sees here in the city."

[Sam (Master)] I have considered the idea of having a detail of guards mounted on some aerial beasts

[Imari (Mike)] "Artiark is very helpful. He makes a good scout and hunter on long journeys."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (too bad we don't know about the royal messengers)

[Sam (Master)] the King has his Royal Order of the Griffon

[Imari (Mike)] sure we do. we got the report about them and having to control artiark when the airship got back

[Imari (Mike)] "Yes. They don't seem to like Artiark very much. He had a run in with one recently."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (that's right but kenna is the only one here who has seen one)

[Sam (Master)] are there issues with mixing them?

[Imari (Mike)] "Fortunately for the gryphon he is well behaved."

[Imari (Mike)] "Oh yes. You don't."

[Sam (Master)] so then I suppose it would not be appropriate to use hippogriffs for such a tasks

[Sam (Master)] perhaps you can suggest an alternative?

[Imari (Mike)] "Not with the gryphons."

[Sam (Master)] looks around at the group,

[Imari (Mike)] "Why not get more gryphons?"

[Sam (Master)] those are the King's perogative

[Imari (Mike)] "So he holds the sole right to use a gryphon? How foolish."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I am sure the King has his reasons.

[Sam (Master)] I do not believe it is his alone, but it would be provacative to create a similar type of force

[Imari (Mike)] "That is like a chief not allowing his warriors to use an axe because only he is allowed to use one. his tribe would be taken over in their first battle."

[Sam (Master)] (TMO you have all of yoru characters there in the courtyard with them as you wish)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] An axe is more basic of a tool than a gryphon and so I am sure that Terraguard is secure

[Sam (Master)] The King does have the power of connections

[Sam (Master)] there are currently two? perhaps three wars that I know of in the Kingdom

[Sam (Master)] as long as the King's lands and messengers are not molested he allows them to happen

[Imari (Mike)] "That seems to be one or two too many wars at once. Who is conspiring against him?"

[Sam (Master)] not against the King, against each other

[Imari (Mike)] "Your king lets his subjects fight amongst themselves?"

[Sam (Master)] I know the Duke of Sothby has attacked the Earl of Warnen

[Sam (Master)] there are at least two or three countries involved in that war

[Sam (Master)] beyond those principles

[Sam (Master)] and of course Mercenaries,

[Sam (Master)] nods at Branwyn

[Imari (Mike)] "Well that seems counter productive for a king to let his own lords fight like that."

[Imari (Mike)] "If they have quarrel with each other they should deal with it in a duel."

[Sam (Master)] It does keep them balanced against each other and not able to take out their aggressions on the King's lands

[Sam (Master)] oh I am certain that there are those that do

[Imari (Mike)] "That is the best way. Then the king doesn't lose armies to two men fightint like children.'

[Imari (Mike)] "If the lords would dare to rise up, the king should take care of them."

[Imari (Mike)] "I know you are adopted into his family, but this king sounds very strange."

[Sam (Master)] If someone were to rise up to the King he would put a very heavy foot down I am sure

[Imari (Mike)] "If the barbarian chiefs acted like this, the tribes would fall apart in a generation.'

[Sam (Master)] I am not adopted into the King's family

[Imari (Mike)] "And the prince is son of the king. I learned how that went from the Queen of Drillian."
