Completely new to DnD as of Apr 2020; I can't believe it's been a year! I've always wanted to play since I was a kid. Girls weren't welcome to play DnD 'back then' though. I know BOB through work and we happened to be talking about DnD. He told me that he ran a Campaign and invited me. So, I thought I would give it a try.
Admittedly, it is hard. I still can't get the die rolling correct and heaven forbid I need to throw a dagger in combat. I've tried hard to learn though and the group welcomed me with open arms. The role-playing comes much more natural to me.
BOB assigned me a character and I enjoy playing Emerald. Being a mage is hard because I can't remember how using magic is going to affect everything else. Writing her backstory was so much fun! I appreciate the fact that BOB let's the players contribute to the world he's building.
I'll be 50 years old this year. Never too old to join the DnD multiverse.
