[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] Ok so I have to give my sons a bath

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] I'll be back in a few

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] lol

[Master] he will just get dirty again

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] i know right?

[Master] like in ten minutes

[Master] and yes to LIsa

[Master] the black area is the city proper

Guy is receiving the map Dryads-Lair-districts...

Guy has received the map Dryads-Lair-districts.

[Master] there is a total of 27 districts in the city

[Master] the first four are there for you

[Master] the Temple Hill is where the Grand Celestry is

[Master] that is visible from the harbor

[Master] and the Hightowers area is where the Princes Palace is

[Lisa] prince of terraguard?

[Master] right

[Lisa] and not a crown prince I assume?

[Lisa] one of the lower sorts

[Master] you do not know

[Lisa] is he married? :)

[Master] what you do know is that the King of Terraguard rules the entire Country, there are three Principalities, Terragaurd, Terrabrink and Dryads Lair

[Master] at this point you do not know if the Prince is a male or female

[Master] grins

[Lisa] then she would be a princess

[Master] She would be a princess living in the PRinces Palace

[Lisa] okay

[Guy] a lot of prinbcesses preferred being called prince since it made them seem more powerful

[Master] so heading up the Narva river

[Master] Sarengar and Indigo and Branwyn have been by here before

[Lisa] we are still on our vessel?x

[Lisa] we have?

[Master] yes

[Master] and yes

[Master] you sailed here in the racing yacht during the REgatta

[Lisa] that far? Hmmm

[Master] up the river to Dryads Lair harbor, around the Exile and back down

[Master] you did not stop

[Master] Sarengar knows that the Diplomatic district is between Hightower and the Navy Yards

[Branwyn (Lisa)] So Sarengar why did you say dryad's Lair was so dangerous when we got this assignment. It's just another city isn't it?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (keep wanting to put in that apostrophe!)

[Guy] I am back at the keyboard.

[Sarengar (Guy)] any number of reasons, pirates sometimes sail in and dock at least until they doo something stupid and get the Navy after them

[Sarengar (Guy)] or theres the council and the prince fighting with each other

[Sarengar (Guy)] and entirely too many factions in the city to make me comfortable

Branwyn (Lisa) grins "So like Rivers Bend?"

[Sarengar (Guy)] sometime the church will be on the Prince's side and just when the Prince is counting on their support they turn around and throw tsupport to the council

[Sarengar (Guy)] Rivers Bend is an Infant compared to Dryad's Lair

[Sarengar (Guy)] spies are everywhere and everyone is a spy

[Sarengar (Guy)] be very careful about who and what you talk too

[Branwyn (Lisa)] If the Prince speaks for the King you would think this Council would want to cooperate

[Sarengar (Guy)] or even about

[Sarengar (Guy)] the reason the Prince is here is because of the council

[Branwyn (Lisa)] So this appointment will be torture. I wish the Queen would have given us the daggers mission she mentioned - much easier.

[Sarengar (Guy)] the council came very close to open rebellion at one point and ever since then the Prince has made Dryads Lair his home

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Who does the military support?

[Master] The Army? or the Navy?

[Sarengar (Guy)] just remember as Diplomats you are fairly safe

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (not asking you :P )

[Master] :)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (Sarengar is doing just fine)

[Sarengar (Guy)] the Navy always supported the King, I never had much to do with the army except for when the ale started flowing a bit too freely

[Branwyn (Lisa)] That is good to know. The one that controls the swords tend to be able to back up their threats a bit more easily.

Dee-87277 has received the map Base Map.

[Master] Hello Dee

[Sarengar (Guy)] (((hey dee))

[Master] will send you new maps just a moment

[Master] one thing anyone might have missed on teh site

[Master] Dryads Lair could have been the center of a great Bugbear Civilization, except for the humans that moved in and interfered. The humans could have turned this meeting of the Velikaya River and the Narva River, two of the great rivers of the world, into a thriving center of an empire except for the orcs and other humans that continually stalled any significant growth. The land of the Halflings to the west seems to be ripe fruit to be plucked, except for a family of Silver Dragons that happened to guard the opposite side of the river. Expanding north past the Blumm Wood would at least seem reasonable, except that in the Cordrawn Hills just north of there were other dragons. Not to mention cave complexes that lead to the Underdark. For these reasons and other bad luck Dryads Lair remained a smaller town than would be expected on this peninsula. As the Kingdom of Terraguard expanded westward Dryads Lair made a good anchor point for the end of a large fertile civilized swath of land. The one thing that continued to bring humans back to this city was the Grand Celestry, the center of the Kayugan faith.

[Dee-87277] ((Hey Guys))

[Master] and now Dee is cycled through the maps

[Sarengar (Guy)] Indigo will be happy to know that there are quite a few halflings in the city

[Master] (actually no, there are very few)

[Sarengar (Guy)] ((hey its been a while since sarengar was last there))

[Master] It is noteworthy that there are no populations of Halflings living in the large cities near Gold Hills; Loosend, Rivers Bend or Dryads Lair; although there are regular travelers that visit those cities.

[Master] http://www.dragonslayers-society.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Main.Halflings

[Indigo (Lisa)] I hope the people here like us better that that other town we were in.

[Sarengar (Guy)] just be very careful

[Indigo (Lisa)] The one near the tulips. They thought we were all thieves.

[Sarengar (Guy)] they may say the like you and then turn right around and sell you to the highest bidder

[Master] (Hrocby in the Lydsund Estates)

[Indigo (Lisa)] They have to get me first and I will not ever be sold again.

[Sarengar (Guy)] I dont mean it quite like that my friend

[Sarengar (Guy)] anything you say or do can be either sold or held against you

[Indigo (Lisa)] Oh.... well then I'd best keep quiet.

[Sarengar (Guy)] for example you are talking to somebody who claims to be a supporter of the Prince and you happen to mention a few bad things about the council or church

Eric has left the game on Fri Oct 10 19:33:16 EDT 2014

Mike has joined the game on Fri Oct 10 19:33:43 EDT 2014

Mike is receiving the map Base Map...

Mike has received the map Base Map.

[Indigo (Lisa)] Well I wouldn't do that. I don't even know them!

[Sarengar (Guy)] they could easily turn out to be a true supporter of the council or church and goo to them and tell them exactly what you said

[Mike] hey guys

[Sarengar (Guy)] ((hey mike))

[Mike] are we there yet?

[Master] Hello there Mike

[Master] yes

[Master] tonight's episode of House Hunters Dryads Lair is almost ready to start

[Master] going to cycle through a couple of maps for you Mike

[Sarengar (Guy)] or the could be a supporter of the Prince and sell what you said to somebody who is in support of council or church

[Mike] sweet, miss one night and we get there. good stuff

[Mike] i say we get the one with the jacuzzi

[Master] you missed the pirates

[Indigo (Lisa)] (you missed an interesting night)

[Master] Branwyn came THIS CLOSE to dying

[Master] had both Branwyn and Marisu with daggers to their throats

[Indigo (Lisa)] (ambassador? what ambassador?)

[Sarengar (Guy)] ((we now have 2 ships lol))

[Master] and actually got Marisu off the ship

[Mike] but she didn't. and unless we changed the name of this game to horseshoes, close aint enough

[Master] grins

[Indigo (Lisa)] (lol)

[Master] So Dee have any idea what is happening?

[Indigo (Lisa)] (good thing they didn't have hand grenades)

[Mike] so can i tell you how much my knee hurts now

[Mike] i need to become a physical therapist

[Master] have to keep on exercising

[Mike] i really want to get paid to hurt people

[Master] you could be paid to torture people

[Mike] and the best part is, they torture THEMSELVES

Eric has joined the game on Fri Oct 10 19:38:33 EDT 2014

[Master] so

[Master] Sarengar

[Mike] do they get beer holy water? if not, i don't want any part of it

[Sarengar (Guy)] ((yo))

[Eric] I am back at the keyboard.

[Master] you sailing them around the Wrack and around the Exile

[Master] is the guess

[Sarengar (Guy)] yeah

[Master] you want me to copy in some of the descriptions as you go by?

[Sarengar (Guy)] ((sure))

[Master] The Pike The fisher-folk of Pilk catch great quantities of fish for export in the dangerous waters of this cove. Outsiders rarely have the same luck, though some visitors remark on a number of caves at water level that the locals are unwilling to let anyone enter, and the occasional visitor that simply disappears. Some sailors have reported seeing unhealthy coloured light coming from the water line at night, though they were probably drunk, or seeing some natural luminescence of the Narva River.

[Master] The Wrack A series of small to medium sized stone outcroppings in the ocean tempt some ship pilots to sail through them, rather than make the long trip around to reach the harbour of the City?. The cargo of many of those ships lies just below the surface, and diving for treasure is a popular pastime among the more daring (or desperate) youth of Dryads Lair.

[Master] Afenloght Though the lighthouse is well maintained here, it used to have an attached series of buildings and cellars which have been allowed to fall into ruin. At various times before its decay, the complex had been a vault, a prison, a barracks, and a library. It has been abandoned and sealed for some time, though there is access from a few hidden tunnels among the rocks at sea level. There is whispered speculation that the pirates of the Narva River have colluded with one or more of the factions of the City? to create this situation.

[Master] Dardens Exile When political opinion in the city turned against the bombastic wizard (or zealous demagogue) Darden, he declared that he would abandon the city? and exile himself among the tribes to the south. He made it as far as this island before giving up, and lived there for a time as a hermit. Later other mages have used this island as their base of operations to remain outside of the city? and the immediate reach of the guards.

[Master] (will wait for everyone to catch up and ask questions)

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] i'm good

[Sarengar (Guy)] brb

[Mike] no questions

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] ditto

[Master] Lisa?

[Master] and when Guy is back we will enter the harbor

[Indigo (Lisa)] (no -read it all already)

[Master] Mike there is a priestess for Dee you can flesh out

[Master] I only put in level HP and a spell list

[Mike] nah, i don't have all th ebooks i'd need at home

[Mike] you make her character.

[Mike] i didn' tactually think you'd LET me make a newbie a character

[Mike] that's just plain crazy

[Master] Imari moved 3'08".

[Master] so questions for you then

[Master] A - Aartiark

[Master] how are you approaching the city with him

[Mike] B is for Branwyn

[Master] grins

[Mike] Probably on the boat

[Master] Sarengar is going to bring you into the docks at the Diplomatic Quarter

[Master] it is mid morning on the 15th

[Master] Time of Day: 10:07 AM. Day 15 Pen ___ tre, Eap {Late Fall} 15th, 344 SKR.

[Sarengar (Guy)] back

[Master] Eric you see that on the south side of the city

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] yep like a beacon

[Master] exactly, grins

[Master] for Mike who missed it

[Master] Hightowers is the PRinces Palace

[Master] there are the Naval Yards

[Master] and in between is the Diplomatic Quarter

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] sorry i'm still delaing with the boys for a few more minutes. Gotta put the littlest one to bed in a minute. Then I'll be back 100%

[Master] nods

[Master] I will grab a quick drink and then we meet with the Atache

[Master] brb

[Master] I am away from the keyboard.

[Master] I am back at the keyboard.

[Master] ok

[Master] Lisa Guy you aready?

[Sarengar (Guy)] yup

[Master] So Sarengar

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (yes)

[Master] slows down and brings the oars out

[Master] you anchor the other ship

[Master] and bring in the KNarr towards the docks

[Master] you slowly ease in

[Master] there is an empty space for you near the end

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (sarengar have a boat parking prof?)

[Master (to GM only)] Atache moved 10'05".

[Master (to GM only)] Atribella Olivin moved 5'03".

[Master (to GM only)] Joseph Shortkin moved 10'09".

[Sarengar (Guy)] (((lol))

[Master] and there is a small group apparently waiting for you

[Master] (scale is obviously off at this level so you can all be presumed to be there on the dock)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] How did anyone know when we would arrive?

[Sarengar (Guy)] I told you

[Sarengar (Guy)] spies are everywhere

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Spies

Branwyn (Lisa) sighs

[Atache (Master)] Not Spies Sarengar

[Atache (Master)] It is the job of the Ambassador's Atache to anticipate her needs

Atache (Master) bows

[Atache (Master)] Welcome Branwyn

Atribella Olivin (Master) bows

Joseph Shortkin (Master) bows

[Sarengar (Guy)] Im sure the Queen wrote you but the spies knew as soon as you did or even sooner

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] I am pleased to meet you Marquessa

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (/me looks over at Tristan and smiles and then turns to the group and bows

[Atache (Master)] Now Now Artri I told you Branwyn does not like Titles

[Atache (Master)] we will keep it at a minimum for her

[Branwyn (Lisa)] It is good to meet you as well. I hope you have not been waiting long for our arrival.

[Atache (Master)] and We did get a message from the Queen it is true

[Atache (Master)] but you have lived under The Mist for far too long to forget what a useful bit of Divination can do to ease through the day

[Sarengar (Guy)] I doubt the city has changed since I served in the Navy

[Atache (Master)] There is not a bounty for you Sarengar

[Atache (Master)] if that is what you mean

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] I do hope you will stay

Branwyn (Lisa) laughs "That is refreshing"

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] it would enliven the evenings if what we have heard about you is true

[Sarengar (Guy)] no reason for me to have a bounty. I served my time and left on good terms

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (attache is female?)

[Atache (Master)] I do believe a certain Captain's daughter would like to see you again Sarengar, smiling

[Atache (Master)] (no)

Sarengar (Guy) gets a little pale

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Pardon me,

[Sarengar (Guy)] Shes still here

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I am your Atache, Phillpe Gaston Enquire

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Phillipe is very acceptable Branwyn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] This is Joseph SHortkin

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and Atribella Olivin

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] they are my aides

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] they are at your disposal as well

Tristan Elaire (Eric) laughs at Branwyn

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] I did it better

[Tristan Elaire (Eric)] (sorry catching up)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] It is good to meet you all. Thank you.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and Sarengar, I am not actually sure if she is in the city or not

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] today I thought we should take you to a reputable Inn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] let you recover from your trip

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and then in the morning we can find a new residence for you

[Sarengar (Guy)] if she is I will be leaving as soon as i can

[Sarengar (Guy)] Indigo I will leave the Knarr with you, if you dont mind Ill take the longship

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Where should we store all of our things? We have brought much as you can see.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] leave them on the ship

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] with a guard of course

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] just in case

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Joseph can help with that if you need

Tristan Elaire (Eric) whispers to Branwyn "we should find a bank and deposit our note"

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I would appreciate that. or Sir Captain Indigo will stay behind and guard our belongings.

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) bows

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] looking at Indigo, Sir Indigo?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] would you like Joseph to assist you?

[Indigo (Lisa)] Yes, Sir.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I am not a Sir, thank you Sir Indigo

Indigo (Lisa) looks at Branwyn "If I'm to guard the ship I hope you will bring me dinner at least."

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] No worries SIr Indigo

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] Dinner will come to us

[Indigo (Lisa)] Oh ... Master Enquire then?

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] you will see, wide smile

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] simply Phillipe Sir Indigo

Indigo (Lisa) looks up at Joseph "I hope so"

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] There are certain things that are best discussed in private over a meal

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] would you like to retire to an Inn Branwyn?

[Sarengar (Guy)] They still deliver to the sailors?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and I do hope you understand the need for Ms Ambassador with others?

Joseph Shortkin (Master) grins at Sarengar

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] you are welcome to join us

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] some of the best barbeque tonight

[Sarengar (Guy)] Indigo you will enjoy dinner

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] roast pig

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] roast lamb

Sarengar (Guy) grins

[Sarengar (Guy)] ok which ship is in?

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] for whom?

Branwyn (Lisa) smiles "Indigo shall be very happy I suspect."

[Sarengar (Guy)] usually only got a feast like that when the Navy was in

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Do we have time to visit a bank before the Inn?

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] Admiral Zonidle is in port at the moment

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] We will stop at the Rivers Bend Money Changer for you Marque... Branwyn

[Sarengar (Guy)] Zonidle is an admiral now?

Branwyn (Lisa) thinks 'all these names! I'll never rememeber all of this'

Joseph Shortkin (Master) nods

[Sarengar (Guy)] amazing

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] Old Polintar died

[Sarengar (Guy)] I hadnt heard about that

Branwyn (Lisa) looks at Atribella "You can use my title if it is more comforatble for you. It's better to use it in its entirety than to cut it short"

[Joseph Shortkin (Master)] has been a year or so it seems

Branwyn (Lisa) smiles at her

[Sarengar (Guy)] I sailed with Polintar when i first joined

Atribella Olivin (Master) bobs a curtsey

Atribella Olivin (Master) whispers, I was not sure if it was because of the barbarians that you did not like titles

[Sarengar (Guy)] Zonidle was a cabin boy that cruise

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] do let let the AMbassador stand here like a post, let us get her to the Inn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Josesph assist Sir Indigo

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] we will see you tomorrow morning Sir Indigo

[Mike] I am back at the keyboard.

[Imari (Mike)] "Titles are troublesome."

[Master] Joseph Shortkin moved 54'02".

[Master] Indigo moved 29'02".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 20'08".

[Master] Atribella Olivin moved 22'07".

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I am sorry Inidgo. We shall see you in the morning.

[Master] Indigo moved 4'01".

Sarengar (Guy) lauighs "trust me Bran we will be eating much better than you wil"

[Master] ok, so who is going where

[Master] Art staying on the ship? or?

[Master] Imari?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I am sure! And the Captains must stay with their ships!

[Imari (Mike)] "Branwyn, where do you wish me to go?

[Master] venturing into the city?

[Master] Galdek?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Wherever you wish Imari. I am not sure about taking Artiark to an Inn though.

[Imari (Mike)] "Indigo, watch Artiark. Learn to ride him, perhaps. I will go with Branwyn."

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I was surprised you chose to bring the hippogriff

[Imari (Mike)] and Galdek goes wherever she goes

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I chose two options for houses that take that into account for you Branwyn

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I appreciate that and look forward to hearing more about them.

[Master] Ok so you split up

[Master] not going to put up a map of the Inn

[Master] Galdek moved 104'08".

[Master] Indigo moved 6'08".

[Master] Jilly moved 152'03".

[Master] Artiark moved 54'05".

[Master] Indigo moved 17'00".

[Master] Joseph Shortkin moved 28'00".

[Lisa] I am away from the keyboard.

[Master] Sarengar moved 65'09".

[Aunt Jennevive (Master)] Tristan my dear

[Aunt Jennevive (Master)] we will have time tomorrow to pay our respects

[Lisa] I am back at the keyboard.

[Master] so they escort you to an Inn to the south of the docks and just outsie of the Hightowers district

[Master] they help Branwyn exchange some coins into Terraguardian coinage rather than small kingdoms

[Master] and to ensure that her letter of credit will be established tomorrow

[Master] Phillipe takes you to the Inn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I reserved the third floor for you Branwyn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] you have all four rooms

[Branwyn (Lisa)] That is most kind.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it will be a chance to relax a bit for us as well

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the last 4 months have been a bit trying if I must confess

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You were the attache to the former Drillian ambassador?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the two of us are here to answer any questions you have

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] yes, Misstress Waverlyn

Atribella Olivin (Master) sniff

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] she was a very capable person

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] she had a mind for the job

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (everyone is here on the upper floor so you can speak freely with each other)

[Imari (Mike)] "We should sleep down in the common room. Galduk will stink less down there."

Atribella Olivin (Master) OH

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] That is what that is

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] I was afraid it was ...

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] sorry

[Imari (Mike)] "Galduk, tomorrow is bath day. In this city, your smell will be a burden to Bran and to me."

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] You don't bathe?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] If he would simply bathe he could enjoy our company and learn more about us. It seems simple enough and not too much to ask.

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] really?

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] wow

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] I mean

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] I guess

Atribella Olivin (Master) looking around

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] I am sorry

Atribella Olivin (Master) straightens up

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] I am certain it is a proud and fine tradition where you come from Galduk

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] and if you wish to continue your traditions I will endevour to find a means for that to happen for you

Branwyn (Lisa) grins and thinks she could learn from this one

[Imari (Mike)] "Ravagers do not see the need to bathe."

Atribella Olivin (Master) obviously thinking

[Imari (Mike)] "I do. Please have the innkeeper prepare a bath for him."

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) whispers loudly to Atribella,

Eric has left the game on Fri Oct 10 20:40:42 EDT 2014

[Imari (Mike)] ::Galduk glares at Imari::

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] The Ravager is a fierce and vital part of the Carnak warrior caste, to force them to bathe would be akin to swearing alligence to Athena

Atribella Olivin (Master) nods digesting this line

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Yes but if we all pass out from the fumes every time je walks into a room it does no one any good.

Atribella Olivin (Master) brightens

[Imari (Mike)] "If you would hinder my attempts to cut down on the stench he emits I will send you to fly with Partik. If I have to have him follow me around, he will not stink."

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] it is with great sacrafice that the fierce Galdek has chosen to conceed to your so called civilizations standards, though it you believe in cleanliness like Athena then perhaps you are not ready to meet the warriors of Carnak

[Imari (Mike)] ::Imari glares at the big mouth and her eyes turn black::

[Imari (Mike)] "Have you no eyes? I AM of Carnak."

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Imari of Partik, she means no harm, females are naturally presumed to be in charge

[Imari (Mike)] "Not all of us so called barbarians are dirty. Only these are. And I choose not to let him foist his bad hgene on myself."

[Imari (Mike)] "Because we don't have our brains in our pants."

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) smiles

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Being from Drillian does give you some leeway in this city

[Branwyn (Lisa)] And why is that?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] The Small Kingdoms are not considered quite civilized

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] everyone knows that the Mist affects the mind

Branwyn (Lisa) thinks 'we are going to need all the leeway we can get'

Branwyn (Lisa) smiles "Only our viewing distance. Our minds are quite in tact I assure you."

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I grew up in Walk on Water

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] teh Mist was always south of us, I never was affected

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] for tonight did you have any questions?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] or would you like to simply rest and relax?

Fool Me Twice

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I probably have too many questions for one evening. I hardly know where to start.

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] she was stabbed

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (eric is gone for the night?)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] she was poisoned

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (not sure)

Branwyn (Lisa) looks back and forthe between the two "Yes, that was one of my questions, but I expected only one answer."

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) troubled smile

[Branwyn (Lisa)] She was stabbed with a poison blade, stabbed and then poisoned or poisened and then stabbed?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the former ambassador was stabbed, poisoned, and then burned, including the entire residence, the reason why we need a new one for you

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I am most curious now

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] we have been living in an Inn near the Naval Yards

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (what - was she Rasputin?)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it is most distressing

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] we cannot determine who did it, nor how she died

[Branwyn (Lisa)] well, someone was quite determined.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] And not skilled in the art of subtlety.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (can we say overkill?)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] She was a very skilled lady

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] perhaps you have heard of the new crusade that is being talked about?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I meant the one that murdered her.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (too bad Eric is not here)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I wish I knew who the murderer was

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] then I could help protect you from them

Branwyn (Lisa) tries not to sound too weary at the thought "A crusade against whom?"

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the Church is beginnign the planning for a new crusade agaisnt the greeks

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it was a brilliant plan if I do say so

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] to have the focus of the church looking eastward and towards teh greeks

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] rather than towards Drillian and any potential adventures there

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] which of course means that the Crown must protect the non combatants from both sides

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Whose plan is this?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it will be a decade or more before they can even think of moving westward again

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (test)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Misstress Waverlyn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (had to check spelling)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] she was very adept at creating detailed plots and intrigue to tied up the best minds

[Branwyn (Lisa)] She devised a plan to launch a crusade against the Greeks?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Just to keep anyone from thinking about Drillian.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] she simply influenced certain priests whose energies could be put to good use

Branwyn (Lisa) frowns

[Branwyn (Lisa)] We shall discuss that later when Tristan is back.

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) nods

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I do wish o hear more about the circumstances of Mistress Waverlyn's demise.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Joseph found the body

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] adn Artribella came to get me

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You said it was burned.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] by the time we reached her room

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the room was on fire

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] we attempted to pull the Ambassador from the flames

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] but we could not put out the fire in time

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] then the rest of the house caught fire

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You should start from the beginning.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and we had to run for our own lives

[Branwyn (Lisa)] She was stabbed?

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] Joseph called out "the Misstress has been stabbed!" and ran to her room

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] we were in the hall bringing her the afternoon drinks and her letters

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] he ran to her I ran to Phillipe

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] in just that moment there was a whoosh of flame

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I ran from my office down the hall and entered the bedroom to see the Misstress in flames

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I rashly grabbed her leg and pulled

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Joseph pulled an arm

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a dagger fell out from the Misstress

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] she did not like weapons

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] thought they were for the feeble of mind

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] we attempted to pull her from the room

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] but there was a WHOOSH

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] adn the entire house seemed to catch fire at once

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] so we ran as fast as we could to escape

Branwyn (Lisa) listens with an arched brow "And where does this poisoning occur?"

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] when we asked the Priest for how she died he said she was poisoned

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] so we have the Misstress, poisoned, stabbed and burned

[Branwyn (Lisa)] And all this happened in her own home in broad daylight.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] here were her guards?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] in the afternoon, yes

[Branwyn (Lisa)] where)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] she did not have guards in the house

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] only on the street outside to prevent unannounced visitors

[Branwyn (Lisa)] She's off scheming crusades and doesn't think she might irritate someone enough to need a guard?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the house was under a guardian spell that prevented others from teleporting inside

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there was only the one door in

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] The Misstress was a traditional woman, she was not a powerful mage as you are Branwyn

[Branwyn (Lisa)] And Joseph was the one calling out the news just a bit too late?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] yes

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) lowers his voice,

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and yes I asked the priests and no he did not poison or stab her

[Branwyn (Lisa)] But he could have set her on fire?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I only asked becuase I felt I had to

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I trust Joseph and Atribella completely

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I do not think he would have done that

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I cannot imagine any of the three of us wishing harm to the Misstress

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Who cast the Guardian spell?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a Mage that she hired

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (mike - jump in with questions any time!)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] an apprentice to the Necromancer

[Imari (Mike)] so when we buy a house, we're trapping them in a room with cloud kill, right?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] And so you have no idea if such a spell was still in effect on the day of her murder.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (lol!)

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) shakes his head

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Mages for hire can be unreluable. But then so can priests you do not know and trust.

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) stares calmly at Branwyn

[Branwyn (Lisa)] A priest told you and so it must be so?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I trust you with my life Branwyn the Mysterious

[Branwyn (Lisa)] A mage cannot undo his spell for a higher pirce?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] My Queen has told me you are the best hope of our Kingdom and I believe her

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (can undo - jeez)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] for your questions, yes any one can be bought I supposed

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I do have a question for you

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] is our Queen in danger?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (no I got it right - it was a question - I am phrasing things oddly)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] will there be a civil war?

[Imari (Mike)] we can only hope

[Branwyn (Lisa)] We have been working to avoid that.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] The Misstress said that we needed to keep the eyes fo Terraguard away from the Kingdom at all costs

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Sir Indigo and imaru have completed a quest that should help in that regard.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] if they saw any weakness they would attempt to invade

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] oh?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Does Terraguard feel the need to conquer something at the moment?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] All Kingdoms have armies and need a reason to use them

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] is what the Misstress used to say

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Hopefully Drillian will feel the need to rally together rather than against each other now that the Queen carries the shield and mace of Chandler Cowles.

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) eyes light up

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] that is amazing news

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] how did that happen?

Branwyn (Lisa) looks toward Imari to give details

[Imari (Mike)] "We got it for her."

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] How did you find such things from legend?

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] were they hidden away in the barbarian lands?

[Atribella Olivin (Master)] is that why no one could find them?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Smiles, no they had to be in the Mist or the priests would have found them earlier

[Imari (Mike)] "No. In your mist covered ones. They were just laying out in the open where anyone cound take them except no one could find them in all that mist."

[Imari (Mike)] "We simply walked in to the temple where they were said to be and took them." ::shrugs::

Branwyn (Lisa) laughs "Indigo tells a bit different tale!"

[Imari (Mike)] "He is also small."

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I have to ask please Branwyn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] what is it like to work with a halfling?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] They survived great tria.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I hear he is a mighty warrior

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] yet he does not quite look as fearsome as Galdek

[Branwyn (Lisa)] He is and also he is most loyal and kind.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] He would gladly spar with you if you would like and you can then tell me whether he is fearsome or not.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I would fail most definately I fear

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I have spent too many years as a clerk to the ambassadors here

[Branwyn (Lisa)] How many have you served?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] you will be the 7th

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] only two have died while here on their post

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I shall endeavor not to be your third.

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) weary chuckle

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I am only thankful that the Queen has not replaced me

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You would not like to go home?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] All of my family is dead

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Atribella and Joseph are my family now

[Imari (Mike)] because he knifed, poisoned, and burned them to death

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and the honor of serving my queen

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and I know that I have you to thank for that

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (lol)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Well your family has suddenly grown in size with our lot.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You shall not be bored.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] yes the choices for houses will be restricted

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I have two selections for you

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] one is in the heart of the diplomatic Quarter

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the other is on the edge near Northbrook

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it is a little farther from the Palace

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] but

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) shakes his head

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there is plenty of time for that tomorrow

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I should not be taking up your time

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I will let you rest

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and I will be rigth down the hall if you need anything in the night

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I have already sent the diplomatic pouch to the Queen saying you arrived safely

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Thank you Phillipe. Atribella.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] We will speak on the costs of communicating too quickly later

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] have a good nights rest

[Master] and the two of them exit the room

Branwyn (Lisa) looks at Imari "Costs of communicating too quickly?"

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I suppose the message would be wasted if I was murdered tonight.

[Master] &&&&&&

testing to see if that gives me a block of blue text for the Atache's conversation with you

Testing setting off the thread Fool Me Twice in red text

Convert to Fool Me Twice conversations

&&&&&&& [Master] and now back to normal

[Master] you are free to discuss among your selves questions, problems, etc.

[Master] ideas

[Imari (Mike)] i say we take the one on the outskirts

[Imari (Mike)] and errect a moat

Branwyn (Lisa) sits back in a chair "Oh I think I despise this job already. I am completely unsuitable for this work."

[Imari (Mike)] add some crennelations, and declare sovriegn soil

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I'd like to hear the details first. he seemed to hesitate on the second one.

[Imari (Mike)] did anyone bring a flag?

Branwyn (Lisa) smiles "i think I forgot mine at home"

[Master] (John will not be in)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I was happy that Tristan was off with his head in his trunk looking for suitable vestments to wear tomorrow and didn't hear about the crusade.

Branwyn (Lisa) looks at Jennevive "If you think I'm going to run around trying to start holy wars.... well I'm not."

[Imari (Mike)] i really doubt we'll want a house in the middle of the city with artiark

[Aunt Jennevive (Master)] I will keep in mind your resistance to the idea, she says with a smile

[Imari (Mike)] he'll eat everyone's horses

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Let's just look at both of them and decide.

[Imari (Mike)] plus, a little distance from the castle never hurt. then you can make the king wait for you and say you got caught in traffic

[Imari (Mike)] of course, knowing bob both houses are going to suck.

[Aunt Jennevive (Master)] Chuckles

[Branwyn (Lisa)] He better not eat Marisu's.

[Master] and with teleport is it very hard to justify being late

[Imari (Mike)] like i said, with our combined character levels we can build a house for cheaper i bet within just a few weeks

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (no teleport)

[Imari (Mike)] we grew up in the mist. who learns teleport?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (you are going to give more details on the houses or was that it for the description?)

[Master] I have maps for you to look over, explore, etc

[Master] you have lots to consider

[Master] just letting you get your selves organized

[Master] Guy you have been very quiet

[Master] what are your thoughts on this?

[Sarengar (Guy)] its about what i was expecting lol

[Master] so

[Master] if you are ready to click off the night?

[Sarengar (Guy)] dont trust anybody but the group lol

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (I agree!)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (brb - getting a drink)

[Master] TMO is about a half hour out or so, maybe a little more

[Master] no word from Eric

[Master] TMO said he wants you to find a tree house

[Sarengar (Guy)] lol

[Sarengar (Guy)] brb

[Imari (Mike)] we do have enough money to build a whole ewok village if there's a good bunch of trees nearby

[Master] but you will need money to do other things as well

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (b)

[Master] so I am off for a glass of water

[Master] then when Guy is back we can go House Hunters

[Imari (Mike)] so we sell tickets for admission to our awesome tree village

[Imari (Mike)] also, we make up a bunch of random drillian hollidays and hold festivals for them where we sell food and drink for overblown prices

[Imari (Mike)] i mean, it works for the germans

[Sarengar (Guy)] back

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (lol - how was Oktoberfest btw?)

[Imari (Mike)] fun

[Imari (Mike)] we've got three more possibly to go to

[Master] back

[Master] and that is an excellent idea actually Mike

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (one a week?)

[Master] lol

[Imari (Mike)] basically

[Master] ok so all set?

[Master] ready to go out with your real estate agent

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (sure)

[Master] is INdigo coming in to go with you?

[Master] Barnabas is here?

[Master] Guy who is here?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (if the ship will be safe without him)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (Hey! we never looted the long boat! we keep forgetting to do that)

[Master] Guy said that Sarengar was taking it

[Master] and giving INdigo the Knarr

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (indigo was going to have aproblem with that)

[Guy] i figured we would have looted it before sarengar left

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (Indigo couldn't take the ship Sarnegar named after the mother of his child)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (my typing totally sucks)

[Guy] we can loot it before we go house hunting if you want

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (just don't want to forget is all)

[Guy] im curious to know whats on the longboat myself lol

[Master] you want that now?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (whichever is easier for you)

[Master] On the Longboat

[Master] you have 6 bales of furs

[Master] and 4 bales of wool

[Master] the rest is not saleable goods, misc things, no other valuables

[Master] the ship is the most valuable thing

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (great! now PETA's going to come and try and kill us)

[Master] grins

[Imari (Mike)] if we cast animate dead on the furs we can make people living cloaks to wear.

[Guy] lol

[Guy] and yeah I guess Barnabas will be with the group lol

[Branwyn (Lisa)] So which house are we going to first?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Good Morning Branwyn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Good morning everyone

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Good morning

[Master] Time of Day: 10:07 AM. Day 16 Mid ___ tre, Eap {Late Fall} 16th, 344 SKR.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You did not meet Barnabas, last night. he is a formidable DragonSlayer.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] But i suppose you know that already.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] The Dragonslayer Company

[Guy] I am back at the keyboard.

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] aye

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I do not know Barnabas, but I do know that youa re a part of the Mercenary Company

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] Aye that we are

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] how would you like me to structure your day Branwyn?

Barnabas Stone (Guy) chuckles "Just think ye have this tae look forward tae every day

[Branwyn (Lisa)] With me simple is usually best. Let us find ourselves a place to live and then worry about other matters later.

Branwyn (Lisa) looks at Barnabas and rolls her eyes and then grins

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] once we have tha house then we can think aboot security

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Very well

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You had other ideas Phillipe?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] would you like to visit the closest place first? or the fartherest?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (fatherest?)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I am here to serve you Branwyn, to give advice as you wish but my job is to make sure you are informed and ready

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (grins he needs some quirks)

Barnabas Stone (Guy) makes sure his armour is sitting right and his hammer is hanging on his hip

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Let us start at the furthest one and then work our way back in.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Sir Barnabas you know you cannot carry that hammer with you in the streets?

[Indigo (Lisa)] What about my swords?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] no

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] as a mercenary working I am entitled tae wear armour and carry weapons

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] After Branwyn has met with the Prince she will be able to establish her guards

[Indigo (Lisa)] All right.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] then you would need to pay the sword tax Sir Barnabas

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] for today it is best to leave the weapons here in the Inn

[Indigo (Lisa)] Hammer tax?

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] and I am working as a bodyguard tae the Ambassador

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Then you should be quite capable of defending her without your hammers

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] theres a reason they call me Hammer

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it will be a day or two until we can arrange for you to carry what you wish anywhere , well almost anywhere, you wish

[Branwyn (Lisa)] And if we run into any trouble I'm sure a little fireball will solve what every problem arises.

Branwyn (Lisa) looks curiously at Phillipe to see his reaction

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) blanches just a little

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Please no fires in the city yet?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (sorry setting up maps)

Branwyn (Lisa) smiles "I will tease you from time to time. I'm afraid I will not be able to help myself. No fires. I promise."

Barnabas Stone (Guy) hides his hammer but keeps it on

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] thank you Branwyn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and Barnabas

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] that will not work

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I do appologize but I cannot let you get Branwyn in trouble her first day in the city

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] nor the second day

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] nor as many days as I can manage

TMO has joined the game on Fri Oct 10 22:19:07 EDT 2014

TMO is receiving the map Dryads-Lair-districts...

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] its nae yer choice. I dinnae work fer ye

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Oh Barnabas, we will be fine n our first day. I don't think anyone will try to kill us until they get to know us better.

TMO has received the map Dryads-Lair-districts.

[TMO] (greetings gentlebeings)

Barnabas Stone (Guy) looks over at Branwyn "They have already tried tae kill ye. Dinnae ferget the trip here."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (impeccable timing as always master tmo)

[TMO] (I excel at it)

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] but if ye truly want me tae leave me hammer here than I will but only because ye ask

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Thank you. We will get you permitted as soon as possible, won't we Phillipe?

[Branwyn (Lisa) (to GM only)] Character sheet for Branwyn modified: Spells - CHANGED: Bigby's Interposing Hand -- # Memorized: 0 (1), CHANGED: Chaos -- # Memorized: 1 (0), CHANGED: Detect Secret Passages and Portals -- # Memorized: 2 (0), CHANGED: Dimension Door -- # Memorized: 1 (+0), CHANGED: Magic Missile -- # Memorized: 0 (2), CHANGED: Shocking Grasp -- # Memorized: 1 (0), CHANGED: Sleep -- # Memorized: 0 (1), CHANGED: Unseen Servant -- # Memorized: 1 (0), CHANGED: Waterbane -- # Memorized: 0 (+0),

[Barnabas Stone (Guy)] but I dinnae like it

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I will arrange everythign as you wish Branwyn

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Thank you.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] so TMO

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] do not try to catch up

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Phillipe is the Atache

[TMO] (hokay)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Joseph and Atribella are his staff

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (over weekend you have to read murder details - amusing)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (and possible murderers)

Barnabas Stone (Guy) looks at Phillipe "If anything happens ill hold ye responsible "

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] you are going to go to the fartherest place first

Branwyn (Lisa) murmurs "Furthest"

Ilero (TMO)] (to avoid the apparent 'no weapons' police, Ilero will wear the Hand like a glove, if that's acceptable to the DM)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] yes

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] so

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] getting back into characters

Ilero (TMO)] (are we allowed to keep knives or daggers, or remove all weapons?)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] small daggers yes

Ilero (TMO)] (kthx)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] So branwyn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and Company

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] we will visit a house that I think meets your needs quite well

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it is slightly farther than you might like

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Northbrook is a nice quarter of the city

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] but you will have to traverse quite a bit to do the daily shopping etc

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (sending the first map)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I thought you might like the height on this one

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the space to see over the neighborhoods

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (I was really hoping for more of a villa)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] winks at Branwyn, there is a space for a spyglass up there

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] let me show you the grounds

[Imari (Mike)] "If we knock down that silly pointed roof we can put the catapult up there."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (Is there a wall surrounding the property?)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] you can see that you get more space thsi way

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there is the short wall that will help give you some privacy

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there is the stables

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the maze

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the arbors

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there should be enough space for you out here

[Ilero]] (TMO) raises an eyebrow at the maze.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there are several balconies

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] would you like to go inside?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Please

[Master] Branwyn moved 48'08".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] you can see this is a nice space to recieve guests without brining them inside

[Ilero]] (TMO) looks around to see if any buildings have a direct view over the wall and into the house.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (just moving one of each for ease of use)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] yes to TMO, Ilero can spot several buildings in the area that can see over the walls

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 8'09".

[Master] Branwyn moved 8'11".

Ilero (TMO)] Hmm.

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 4'00".

[Master] Branwyn moved 4'04".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] These stairs go up to the upper levels

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] as well as down to the cellars

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] here on the left is a grand dining hall

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and through here

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 7'05".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 7'01".

[Master] Branwyn moved 7'05".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] here is the main sitting room

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] plenty of space to entertain

Ilero (TMO)] [Ilero]] moved 18'04".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 10'11".

[Master] Branwyn moved 12'01".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 16'07".

Ilero (TMO)] [Ilero]] moved 16'04".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] an attached solon

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] with a pianisimo

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] do you have someone who plays in your group?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I don't think so

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 21'10".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] but I think this is what will make you happy

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 7'02".

[Master] Branwyn moved 9'00".

Ilero (TMO)] [Ilero]] moved 15'10".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a full library for you to use

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] desk, fireplace, and plenty of space for your books

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Right next to the room where we would entertain?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I don't know if I like that very much.

[Imari (Mike)] jemeveve could play

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] many of the nobles prefer to show their collections

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] perhaps thsi is not to your taste

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] would you like to see the rooms upstairs?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] or shall we move to the other location?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] perhaps that will be more to your liking?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Certainly. We should see everything.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] very well

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Upstairs.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I am here to serve

[Master] Branwyn moved 1'05".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 13'05".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] There are three bedrooms on this level

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and this sitting area and a storage room as well

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Three bedrooms for thirteen of us.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] OH no

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] let us go up stairs some more

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You three would be living elsewhere?

Ilero (TMO)] Cozy.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] here on the third floor are two more bedrooms

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and more entertaining space

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and storage

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] would you like to go up to the fourth floor?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Why not?

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 8'05".

[Master] Branwyn moved 9'04".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] This is the balcony

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] you could use as you wish

[Branwyn (Lisa)] No more bedrooms?

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) shakes his head

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] no

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I am sorry

[Branwyn (Lisa)] So five bedrooms for thirteen of us.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there is a room out in the stables, but I would not ask

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there is the cellar as well

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Will you three be staying near by?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I would find space for us after we situate everyone

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] perhaps in the cellar or the stables

[Branwyn (Lisa)] so five bedrooms for sixteen of us.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] you do have a much larger staff than previously we dealt with

[Branwyn (Lisa)] there will be a horse in the stables and a hippogriff on the grounds. I cannot imagine you would wish to stay out there.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I will find a way to make it work, do not fear

[Master] Aunt Jennevive moved 4'00".

[Master] Galdek moved 5'03".

[Master] [Marisu]] moved 1'11".

[Master] Indigo moved 1'07".

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (and Jennevive - 17 people)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] we should look at the other house first

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] before making any firm choices

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Of course I have made no choice.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] How much is this one?

[Master] so he leads you through the streets to the other place

Ilero (TMO)] (2 bajillion)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] This home will cost us just over 200 gold pieces a month in rent

Branwyn (Lisa) coughs

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (next)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] This other home might be more to your liking

Ilero (TMO)] (just remember, not our money. ;) )

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] you had mentioned that you thought of the idea of a villa

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it is build along those lines

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Did I say that aloud?

[Master] Branwyn moved 4'10".

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I suppose that is more what I pictured, yes.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (sorry no front view of this one, but it is right on the street)

Guy is receiving the map Dryads-Lair-districts...

Guy has received the map Dryads-Lair-districts.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] We will have to station guards here obviously

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] but the entrance is rather nice

[Master] Branwyn moved 6'08".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 13'10".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 6'01".

[Master] Branwyn moved 5'10".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] here in the entrance hall you have the two sets of stairs leading to the upper levels

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 27'10".

[Master] Branwyn moved 28'08".

Ilero (TMO)] For days you can't make up mind.

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 8'05".

[Master] Branwyn moved 8'05".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Gestures to the open sky

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] to the fountain

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the balcony around

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] through those doors there, is a stable

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 69'11".

[Master] Branwyn moved 49'03".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Your own private chapel

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Wonderful

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] with room for all of your retainers

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (grins)

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 74'00".

[Branwyn (Lisa)] all my what?

[Master] Branwyn moved 75'02".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and here is the grand dining hall

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire and Branwyn moved 79'08".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire and Branwyn moved 28'09".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a large bedroom

Ilero (TMO)] (you have very bad teeth?)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] able to sleep six

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (barracks)

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 29'07".

[Master] Branwyn moved 29'00".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a large bedroom again,

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and a private suite here

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire and Branwyn moved 26'07".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 15'08".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and Upstair

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there are more private suites

[Master] Branwyn, [Ilero]], Barnabas Stone, Phillipe Gaston Enquire and Imari moved 114'03".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 24'09".

[Master] Imari moved 13'08".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 19'08".

[Master] Branwyn moved 23'08".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] This is quite clever

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a secret one way door

Lisa is receiving the map Residence two second floor...

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] from the entertainment area

Lisa has received the map Residence two second floor.

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 19'06".

[Master] Branwyn moved 14'06".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 55'06".

[Master] Branwyn moved 34'04".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] This would be the ambassador's quarters here

[Master] Branwyn and Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 36'07".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] on the left would be your suite

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] on the right another for who ever you wish

[Master] Branwyn and Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 37'10".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] given our conversation last night

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] this might amuse you

[Master] Branwyn and Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 15'00".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a full bathing tub

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the servants will fill it with water as you wish

[Master] Branwyn and Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 16'03".

[Master] Branwyn moved 47'01".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 38'07".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire and Branwyn moved 129'10".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and this will be something you do like also I hope

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire and Branwyn moved 34'08".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a large dinning hall to use for perhaps your labratory?

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire and Branwyn moved 23'11".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] with a library next door

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and again the clever secret doors exiting each room as well

[Branwyn (Lisa)] A dining hall both upstairs and down?

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) nods

[Branwyn (Lisa)] We might have to convert the dining hall into another bedroom or put my library in my bedroom.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] there is also the basement

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Sir Ilero might be interested in that as well

[Branwyn (Lisa)] What was on the other side of the first floor next to that dining hall?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] storage areas, the kitchens

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a small dinign room

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] let me show you

Ilero (TMO)] Hokay.

[Master] Branwyn moved 31'10".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and these stairs like all of the four towers goes down to the basement

[Master] Branwyn moved 28'07".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 106'11".

[Master] Branwyn moved 16'03".

[Master] [Ilero]] moved 133'04".

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Sir Ilero I beleie you will find this very interesting

[Master] [Ilero]] moved 16'01".

[Master] Phillipe Gaston Enquire moved 27'04".

[Master] Branwyn moved 29'05".

Ilero (TMO)] Boats?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] This chamber connects to an underground channel that leads through the sewers and out to the river and then to the harbor

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You can travel the sewers by boat?

Branwyn (Lisa) wrinkles her nose

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] not many know that

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] and it will be a tight fit of course

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I suppose it would be better than swimming

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] but it is a way in and out of your residence

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] that others will not know

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I did not know of this until I brought in trap specialist

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] to check for secret doors

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You brought a thief into the house we might be living in and told them this could be the new ambassador's house. Go find all the secret ways in?

[Ilero]] (TMO) ponders the ramifications.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I thoguht it prudent to see if someone else could find a way in that I was not aware of

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] before offering anything to you

Ilero (TMO)] Will have to guard, of course. Can't trust total secret. But not bad idea.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Phillipe I know that every service may be bought, but soimetimes it is not necessarily wise to do so.

Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master) nods

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I tried to find suitable residences for you that could hold a large group, and meet your own special needs

[Branwyn (Lisa)] What are these other rooms down here?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] they are burial chambers

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] that you would want to clear out when you move in

[Ilero]] (TMO) sighs.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Please don't tell me it's a bunch of priests.

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I did check and there are no reported hauntings of this house

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] Oh no it is the family of the previous owners

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] they have fallen on hard times and needed to sell

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] the new owner chose to rent out to people from out of the city

Ilero (TMO)] Kill t'em and trap specialist and secret entrance stay secret.

[Ilero]] (TMO) grins toothily.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] You're the security expert!

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] That is why I thought he might like this Branwyn

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Who is the new owner?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a sneaky way in and out

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] a Baron from some minor place,

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] it is part of an inheritence when the previous owner did not pay rent it reverted to him

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Is there space for Imari's hippogriff?

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] in the stables

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] adn with the open air center the hippogriff could come in and out

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Phillipe, horses and hippogriffs do not coexist well.

[Imari (Mike)] maybe we can train artiark not to eat this one horse

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Anything else to show us on this one?

[Guy] sorry folkls my eyes keep closing

Ilero (TMO)] Can we train t'is one horse not afraid of hippogriff?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (vote before you go?)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] nothing that I think will change your mind Branwyn

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] (you can wait till the week and vote on the site)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] How much is this one?

[Guy] i like the second one

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] 250 Gp a month

Ilero (TMO)] (more beds available here)

[Guy] yall have a good night and ill see you in 2 weeks

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Can you give us some time to discuss it?

Ilero (TMO)] (less crowding, although less privacy too)

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (goodnight Guy!!)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] of course

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I have booked the Inn for the week for you

Guy has left the game on Fri Oct 10 23:24:02 EDT 2014

Ilero (TMO)] (cya)

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] let us go to the upper floor again and you can discuss

[Phillipe Gaston Enquire (Master)] I will go find us a lunch

[Master] so you are alone and can talk

[Master] both in and out of charcters

[Imari (Mike)] this second one sounds better

[Indigo (Lisa)] There sure are a lot of places to sit down and eat in this one.

Ilero (TMO)] More indoor space here. Less outdoor.

[Master] no out door space

Ilero (TMO)] (this one is more downtown?)

[Master] right in the middle of the diplomatic district

[Branwyn (Lisa)] If we can somehow accomodate all the animals here I think this one suits better.

[Master] streets on all four sides

Ilero (TMO)] Agreed.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Tristan would be happier with his own space.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Well, his and Jennevive's.

Ilero (TMO)] Branwyn, you has magic t'at lock windows and doors?

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I can cast a lock spell but it is not unbreakable.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] Not like that wand we found back when we ...

[Ilero]] (TMO) shrugs. "Not'ing is."

[Branwyn (Lisa)] That one we saw before

[Branwyn (Lisa)] I didn't like the library next to the room where we would entertain.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] This would be better I think all around.

[Branwyn (Lisa)] If the weather is warm we could hang lanterns and entertain in the courtyard by the fountain.

[Imari (Mike)] okay, i've got to sleep. pick the right house!

[Imari (Mike)] night all.

Mike has left the game on Fri Oct 10 23:32:14 EDT 2014

[Master] night Mike

[Master] you do not need to make up your minds tonight

[Master] but if you do like the second one that is fine

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (think we are pretty much agreed)

[Master] and we can start off with renovating that as you want

Ilero (TMO)] (I think the second one does seem to be better)

[Master] so do you want to look at any of the floors again?

[Master] Branwyn moved 2'11".

[Branwyn (Lisa)] (we can turn the crypts into bedrooms :)

[Master] very true

Ilero (TMO)] (Ilero will sleep somewhere else)

[Master] Branwyn can have the entire second floor

[Master] large mater suite,

[Master] library and lab

[Master] salon to entertain with

[Master] and the extra bedroom there, for the atche?

[Master] have who ever you want at your beck and call right there

[Lisa] sure the possible murderer

Ilero (TMO)] what's the thing in the center of the basement?

[Master] chuckles

Ilero (TMO)] the circle

[Master] water for fountain

Ilero (TMO)] ah

Ilero (TMO)] btw, you will note that I did *not* buy swimming for Ilero. ;)

[Lisa] I memorized detect secret passages and silly attache hired a thief to find them all

[Master] have to stick with traditin

Ilero (TMO)] much too boring a use for a NWP

[Master] I debated that LIsa

[Lisa] every thief in Dryads Lair will know how to break in everywhere by now

[Master] having you not see any of the secret doors etc

[Master] but it seemed like it was taking a little too long to go room by room with the unveiling

[Master] so I moved things a long a bit quicker for everyone

[Lisa] is fine

[Lisa] I didn't know what you would do so I was trying to be prepared

[Lisa] attache is silly man

[Master] it is good

[Lisa] we hire a mage to protect us

[Lisa] we hire a priest to tell us stuff

[Lisa] and we believe everything they tell us

[Lisa] we can do all of this stuff in-house

[TMO] just depends on how paranoid you want to be. ;)

[Master] yes you can now

[Lisa] read the murder scenario

[TMO] (I will)

[Master] but the previous staff was not a group like you

[Lisa] ambassador hired a trainee of a necromancer to cast a guardian spell on house

[Lisa] surprise! someone broke in

[Lisa] or they aides/servants did it

[Lisa] murder reeks of mage

[Lisa] but then again if mages are so easily for hire it does not mean that a mage did it for any reason other than a pay check

[TMO] Mrs. White did it, in the Dining Room, with the Rope!

[Lisa] and the candlestick

[Lisa] and the revolver

[Lisa] no more spoilers

[Master] TMo previous ambassador was .....

[Master] ok

[Master] I will let him explore

[Lisa] go ahead

[Master] nah

[Master] will be fun for him to read it

[Lisa] was just talking about me

TMO puts on my deerstalker cap.

[Master] Lisa gave me the title for this story arc

[Master] Fool me Once

[Lisa] can't think at the moment

[Master] we will close down

[Lisa] you can have a contest on the site

[Master] pick up next week

[Lisa] winner gets xp

[Lisa] :)

[Master] LOL Fool Me Once is the name of the story arc,

[Lisa] oh

[Master] you said it before

[Lisa] you get xp

[Master] to to sleep

[Lisa] Goodnight! :)

[TMO] g'nite. glad I got to be here for the house hunting
