The Rainbow Falls

The Rainbow Falls lie at the end of the Akundi gorge where the river plunges into the deeper canyon of the Gogrus gorge. The trail leading to the falls passes through a stone arch that is connected to a red building which is built into the side of the cliff.

On the arch is carved a proverb:

The man who never
opens his mouth in anger
can close his eyes in peace

Just beyond the arch, the trail takes a sharp left turn and begins descending the wall of the Gogrus Chasm. This is the Red Tower which is part of the Rainbow Monastery.
