Fives: Yep, standard scam sales tactics - what they're selling you on, and some other terrible alternative. Not saying it's not feasible, but there's also just going and coming back. Dangerous, deadly, yes, but possible. Honestly, the portal here idea ain't bad, EXCEPT for actually inviting a piece of Hell to take up residence right next to your house, possibly dooming this whole world.

Jennevive: When a gate to another plane is opened yes you can see through to what is on the other side, and they can see here

Fives: just to throw out a hypothetical, to make you properly paranoid, what's your response if when you open the gate the second time a whole army comes pouring out? Not saying it's likely, but you gotta think of all angles when you're dealing with these things.
