GM: I spent about an hour and a half today watching the details up the update coming later this month that includes sounds

GM: I am now at 720 total things that get potential updates every time I restart

GM: Sounds would be for me to share out, so things like hits, damage, spells, monster growls, etc.

seyfert: Sure sure but it'll require more and more from our computers and not all of us are up-to-date on that. I mean kinda, but I hate waiting for loads and lags existing.

GM: That is why I was disapointed but will withhold judgement until it comes out near the middle end of June

LorieD: Does the group do monster of the evening stories anymore or is all long-drawn out arcs?

LorieD: have we made the other neighbors friends / enemies ?

Master TMO: haven't really gotten started yet. we've got some stuff packed up, and 1 load taken out to storage. going to start storing in earnest tomorrow morning, I'm guessing.

LorieD: How far away are you moving? 4 hours?

GM: That is a link to the Crainiate Wastes, the map you have as your desktop image

LorieD: So this is on the other side of Drillian where we were BOB?

Master TMO: we've been in a rental house in Waco, hoping the house near Lubbock would sell. It hasn't, so we're storing up what we have in Waco and moving back at the end of the month.

GM: That is where you are now

GM: The Queen granted Branwyn some land here in the hopes of reclaiming it from the goblins, hobgoblins, etc.

GM: It is barren, a mess,

GM: but Branwyn created Dragon Fen near the Valoris Wood

Master TMO: we haven't seen any hobs yet. Just gnomes, goblins, and 1 dragon turtle

LorieD: Okay, so we aren't baking casseroles for the neighbors, got it. So nothing around here really to do.

GM: and then claim Skull Church and made that the Protectorate

GM: to the south is more swamps, to the east is more swamps, to the north is another Estate, to the west is another Estate

Master TMO: who is the estate to the west?

seyfert: Plenty to do. We've helped neighbors in the past, lots of little towns, gnomes, monsters, all of it.

GM: Jistille Estates where the Queen is from is just south of the Valoris Wood

Master TMO: the one to the north has the disgraced Brother at it

GM: The road along your western border

seyfert: He's gonna come up in convo eventually if we stop getting sidetracked :P

GM: that leads from Redfern Lake in the south

GM: to the north of Dragon Fen is Quellcon Estates

GM: to the west is Medipop Estates

GM: There are several smaller places in the swamps to the East but they come and go so frequently

GM: as it is very hard to hold anything

GM: which is why the Queen picked this place for Branwyn to anchor down

Master TMO: castles keep sinking into the swamp

GM: Exactly

Master TMO: how far away is Marisu's family Estate?

GM: 86 miles or so

GM: through the swamps

Master TMO: is that all? thought it was farther

GM: 7 to 9 days away

GM: so a week

LorieD: Has anyone tried to build / create a Sandy Squirrel helmet to withstand the mist?

seyfert: about the same as Loosend

GM: In the Protectorate here in Dragon Fen they started mining

GM: Yes for Loosend except roads versus skiffs and swamps

GM: and no one has ever found a way to deal with The Mist

seyfert: It's fine. Brer has time to figure that out

GM: until Snee discovered the Inn of the Lost Eagle and smashed the magical hourglass that was keeping it frozen in time

Master TMO: ummm.... Brer is not an inventive genius

seyfert: Shhhh he also has time to find someone who is to help him

seyfert: and/or he'll stumble upon a lead in another 100 years

GM: I think the key thing is Brer is not

Master TMO: He deals with the Mist primarily by not leaving it

LorieD: Was the Inn supposed to stay frozen?

GM: It has been frozen in time for a couple hundred years

GM: that is why Gerry does not leave

seyfert: Fantastic unexpected die roll that made Bob have to walk away and think for a few minutes

Master TMO: what were your original plans for the Inn before the party shattered them into tiny pieces?

GM: There are battlegrounds nearby there from the first and second civil wars

LorieD: But... was it SUPPOSED to be frozen or was in punishment / reward for something?

seyfert: also curious his original Hell plan but that is for another day

GM: it was just chance that it was frozen

GM: and then I thought that the group would figure out a way to sneak out

LorieD: and I'm loathe to ask, because it's you, but WHO froze it?

GM: but then Snee just SMASHED the artifact that was keeping everything together

GM: grins, just ask Lemon, one of her favorite mages

LorieD: gave him the ole Staff of the Magi

LorieD: It wasn't one of John's mages was it?

seyfert: no just a horrible NPC

GM: I was prepared to run that story arc for several sessions and Spring solved it/broke it in one

LorieD: That sounds like something Kal would do... on accident and play it off like it was planned

seyfert: and good dice

LorieD: Oh, a common BOB NPC :D

seyfert: worse surprisingly

LorieD: Oh no... BOB normally has HORRID NPCs, these ones are so much nicer than I ever remember encountering

LorieD: Like all the LG characters plot murder horrid

seyfert: And he still has a few left up his sleeve

GM: I have binders full of NPCs

LorieD: He might feel guilty after all the years of torture

seyfert: Nah he's just getting better at diversity. Except the horny NPCs

Master TMO: I need to go thru and collect my various systems for generating NPCs on the fly and combine them

LorieD: Robert isn't at the table anymore...

Master TMO: I'll do that someday

GM: For tonight and next week we are building things around Dragon Fen, comfort and relaxing

LorieD: comfort and relaxation when the mist makes folks ill is relative.

GM: The return of the NPC who is frustrated and just has NEEDS will return soon enough

seyfert: only ill when you enter, then you get used to it

GM: Being in The Mist prevents divination, etc

LorieD: Bring back the bumbling church acolytes, they were always the friendliest

GM: so the book that Branwyn had, the Chalice, etc etc etc

GM: The Cloak that you returned

GM: all things hidden away here in The Mist

Master TMO: we do seem to find more than our fair share of artifacts

GM: Hmmm

Master TMO: maybe one of these days it'll be one we can actually use

GM: and Brer has not gotten any help on destroying The Mist only with defeating the Undead

seyfert: No thanks

Master TMO: he'll keep cutting down one tree at a time while the forest keeps growing around him

GM: Which is why we love him

seyfert: Maybe one of those Brothers of his will be useful one day

Master TMO: meh, there's only so much you can expect to do when the Queen on the throne is actively allied with the evil forces. ;) And the Order has been losing ground all this time anyways, as the Mist has kept expanding regardless of their efforts.

GM: For Lemon and Carissa, I know you wanted the tea shop/match making/ garden etc

Master TMO: btw, don't let my decisions hold up the group from anything else that needs doing. This could take a bit.

seyfert: not a rush kind of night

GM: you cannot build inside of the courtyard of the Inn of the Lost Eagle, but you can build on the road outside, and Gerry will give you one of the rooms in the Inn if you want also

GM: When you look at the Inn, there is a room next to Branwyn's suite that Gerry converted for Bixi and Indigo

seyfert: Bixi was going to be source for the teas for Rae's shop, but if she wants seances, suppose she needs sunlight so that's fine

GM: But of course if you go in and out of The Mist there will be a LOT of saves

seyfert: more a problem for Bixi, Rae won't need to often

GM: go into the Inn?

Master TMO: if you go back and forth from Inn to Mist, you have a sickness roll every day

GM: I was thinking that Bixi and Rae would be building something there in Hourglass

seyfert: sure

GM: As it is the hamlet there for people

GM: You could build anywhere you want in the Estate

GM: Nevin and Jilly are available for consulting

seyfert: Yeah and I feel like I had a list going, but alas, not sure where that is

GM: Otsuan is another possibility

GM: to be near to Redfern Lake

seyfert: ahh that's right, but if Bixi needs sunlight close to inn is better

GM: That is the place where the werehouses were

seyfert: it's barren right now right?

GM: semi yes

GM: There is an Inn nearby

seyfert: probably too creepy for Rae :P

GM: that grew up there selling tours of the ghost houses

seyfert: More interesting for Bixi maybe

seyfert: But again, they don't need to build together

seyfert: Bixi was who Rae was going to source some of her ingreidnets from

seyfert: Work together, whatever

seyfert: Tea shop/matchmaking/therapy service was mostly run by Rae

seyfert: And if Bixi wants to at least help with tea, Rae is happy for that

LemonyLemon: I don't NEED sunlight, it was just an idea to put some extra plants there. Maybe Gerry would want to water them or something so Bixi only has to go occasionally

GM: The thing for Rae to consider, near Redfern Lake which is closer to the Moss Path, to the Jistille Estates, the Queen's home Estate, or in Hourglass, closer to the norther edge of Dragonfen and the path from the mining areas

LemonyLemon: I assume SOME things grow in the mist, otherwise everyone would have starved to death

seyfert: ahhh okay you're dragging those memories out now

GM: Exactly to Lemon

GM: and yes for Carissa, bows

seyfert: I think she was leaning Redfern because of the clientele....

GM: and for Lemon, there are Estates that have Barons who grew food and saved the Kingdom from The Mist wiping out all food production

seyfert: BUT we don't own it so it would involved negotiations

GM: So if you want to move down south

GM: Otsuan is in Dragonfen

GM: Redfern Lake is not

seyfert: What kind of clientele would Hourglass give?

seyfert: Miners?

GM: Same road north south, but Redfern has the additional road from the west coming in

LemonyLemon: I don't know much about the geography here, Bixi is going to trust Rae and build close to her. And maybe make glitter for her as well

GM: The very unlikely pairing of Jilly and Valoris over many years has produced some interesting naming conventions

LemonyLemon: I'm trying to get better but there's decades of stuff on that site, I do NOT have the time

seyfert: And that's fine. It was a Shi story so it wasn't even the group as a whole

GM: again Lemon only look at things that are current and if you feel a need the search for a weird question

seyfert: Only relevant if he comes up in game, otherwise you don't need to worry about a reference from before your time

GM: I am guessing Bixi wants at least a 10 by 50 area for planting

GM: This is the fun part of deciding what you want, coming up with plans, then finding out what they cost, so you can see if you want more or less

GM: say a 10 by 10 stable for him

LemonyLemon: But as for the main structure, just a little cottage. Nothing big, Bixi is small

GM: I have the full Excel sheets up so you can dream big and I will tell you how much it will cost, how long it will take to build, and then we work out details

seyfert: and sorry but Knotty has to live NOT by the tea shop

seyfert: Good because sorry, Rae has not warmed up to Knotty and absolutely does not want to live by him

LemonyLemon: I'll get a little wagon for Knotty, when the tea is ready we can ride over to Rae's and drop it off

GM: As an example, Gerry counts as 1 person 1 weeks worth of work. Rae counts as weeks worth of work

LemonyLemon: Bixi's big dream is of a small cottage, with a home for Knotty, and as much land as feasible for one gnome to take care of

seyfert: Dream big, sure, but Rae doesn't need a manor house. She isn't hosting morning meetings. NOW she might want to one day host dignitaries but would she plan for that or just hope it happens?

seyfert: I answered my own question. She's want at least one nice room to host dignitaries because she would dream somewhat big

His right hand has webbed fingers and slight fins along the back of it, and his right foot is somehow half the size of his left, giving him an odd gait.
