Talwin: You all know the stories of the Dragonslayers, I have met many fates close to death, but without the courage and strengh of our merry band, and especially the fearsome Countess, I could not be here with you today. There is a reason for her mystique, she keeps the Estate, and the Estate keeps her. We investigated this town, and the quiet was intense, and oddly horrific. We'd heard stories, but they gave no description of what had occurred in such a place. We approached carefully, suspecting something amiss, but there were nothing but houses. No people, no animals. Just an odd silence in the Mist. I approached a house, and on a whim and with some advice from collegues slammed my sword against a wall. Why? I still know not. Either way, I quickly became embroiled in a fight I still have not experience since. For the houses were not houses at all. They were mimics. They were of monstrous size, and baffle my imagination. I could not believe such a things existed. [Shudders for Dramtic Effect] I only managed a swing or two before it ate me whole. I simply dissapeared from one second to the next into a stomach full of foul liquid. But in a rare fit of folly, and with my concentration shattered by the feeling of being consumed by the giant mimic, I felt for a potion of poison at my belt, thinking it had been a different potion alltogether. [Grins Wryly] I'm certain you know what happened next. The mimic fell upon my friends, even more monstrous, and filled with poisonous intent. But even in my fit of folly and despair, there was the Countess. Wrath upon her face as she flung her fire at the beasts as Admiral indgo cut his way into the beast and extracted me [Fondly remembering (althrough credit where credit is due because frankly I don't remember the details. Sorry Guys)]. The beast SCREAMED in agony as it dissolved under the countesses barrage, the Mimics fell one by one to the Countess, and we finished them off, one by one. The screaming agony of the false houses fell silent...one...by...one in the fading mists, becoming roasted sludges upon the earth. To this day, there are whispers that there were other mimics, who upon seeing their larger brethern fall by the Countesses wrath, fled into the Mists, biding there time to return to the estate, when the Power of the Countess finally wanes. But, as you know, and we suspect, it continues to grow, and will soon purge this land of the Mimic threat and beyond. The protectorate and her estate continues to this day to teach the lesson of Talwin's Folly. Especially in Potions lessons [Smiling Wryly]. Many stories have been told about me, but this one is of my favorites, because it shows two things. First, is that I make mistakes. Second, that the Countess will overpower and crush her enemies....[Fades out of story]. Today, this town hustles and bustles, but secretly, they stand on ground that the Countess Razed for them to have a future here. I only ask that you remember that although no one perished that fateful day, we only hoped to secure a brighter future in this place...for you...and your future. If you could please return your attention to your Tour Guide, and be respectful of this place, you will have my gratitude. Thank you for taking the time to learn about and see this remarkable historical landmark...forever obscured...by the mists.
