Demihuman
The races that are most similar to humans and generally have the same type of relations with humans as humans do within their own race are called the Demihuman races. These include Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and Halflings as most people define demihuman. Of the demihuman races only Elves inter-breed with humans and that is not often.
Other races that are similar in shape to humans, but have a more competetive or different mind set to humans or may live in a different environment that humans are typically not found in are referred to as humanoid.
