Character Stories - Khamsa's Folly
Hakil, son of Quorn
Map A
Hakil stood his post, a tall robed Bedouin watching for the the intruders to appear on the horizon. As they approached he bowed and offered his warning. "Are you here to offer your self to Set? If you are here to offer your selves to Set you are welcome otherwise you must die." When the group replied in the negative he pulled out his scimitar, "I can help you on your way" he whirls it around in a tight circle "shall we start with the reaping?"
After a brief skirmish the group moved on. After a while Hakil turned into smoke and faded away.
Map B
Hakil stood his post, watching for the the intruders to appear on the horizon. As they approached he bowed and offered his warning. He asked "Who are you why are you entering our lands why do you want to visit the temple?"
When he found out that the group was looking for an elf he replied "oh, then he would be dead we kill all elves they are unclean." The group asked to investigate further he asked, "Do you swear to follow the precepts of Set?" When the group said they would not interfere with the practices of Set he allowed them to pass.
Hakil waited for the group to move on then he gave a sharp whistle and waited until another of his tribe appeared out of the dark to take his place on the watch line. Hakil traveled quickly to a small cave and quietly informed the guard of what he had seen and this was yet another group who did not have the Flail of the Desert Kings.
