Setting Up Home - Out of Character Discussions
This might be the last of the story arcs that we work on one at a time. I am anticipating that for this Era that we will have many concurrent plot lines.
I am going to attempt to change the chat logs to show different colors for the various threads as we talk about them during a session.
Given my color choices please feel free to offer suggestions.

Here are some links to wiki info for the types of colors we might be using. Input is appreciated.

Here is a quick example to show what they look like:
hard blue dark green blue grass teal dark purple periwinkle dark grey mist green slate green light purple light grey light blue spring green magenta burnt orange grey light green pink light red orange light orange gold

I think for reading text, the colors with the most contrast are better. If you scroll down on the link you sent you can also pick the standard colors. My vote is for Standard PMWiki colors in no particular order: red, blue, purple and green. Then if you need more, then I would add orange and magenta. Are you going to be running more than 6 story lines at one time?

Ditto Lisa. Any color without the "light" in front is decent to read

So I tried a couple of things in game and then editing afterward with the colors.
Currently there is a Blue section on the Oct 10 14 chat log with the introductions to the new staff and then there is a Red section of text for the conversations about the Fool Me Twice story arc.
Please look them over and see if you like this way of separating out the different pieces.
The alternative is to have the background color change for different conversations.

For our next session I will have the three maps of the three floors of the new house set up properly with all the areas masked and correct scale. Then you can explore them room by room to know exactly what is there. We will also turn on the paint layer so that the players can work together on what changes you would like to see (put in new walls in the barracks, move tables from a room, etc). and then we can see how to make those changes happen.

Another comment on the housing hunt. You can rent both places of course, if you want to split the party :)
Also you could go out into the Principality and build a Country Home to your exact specifications if you want to have a place to entertain people outside of the city, have space to fly, ride, etc. Just remember it is an Ambassador's residence so all the Grand qualifiers would apply.
If anyone needs a copy of the Castle Guide I have it in RTF to send to you as well as the Excel sheet to do the math for just about anything.
And yes you can expect to be here a while so feel free to come up with anything you wish.
