Surprise
Surprise is a specific set of circumstances in an encounter. A character may surprise or be surprised based on many factors.
During the beginning of the encounter if it is determined that a character has surprised another one, that character gets a free action. This can be an extra move, an attack, or even perhaps getting off a spell before the other person is even aware there is danger lurking.
