The Viking Way
This term refers to a cultural outlook on life that those who follow the Norse religion all subscribe to. The Viking Way honors fighting skills and family ties above all else. There are two specialised classes that available to those who follow the Viking Way - the Runecasters and the Berserker.
Trading and Raiding is a way of life for these people. In Terraguard they raid on horseback or in small swift boats in rivers and lakes. Throughout the Island Kingdoms the Viking longboats are known to carry fierce warriors and pirates as well as trade goods. It is a tradition that a group of younger sons will go out to find glory in raiding parties as a sign of coming of age.
Any Viking family will have several warriors who will be traders by nature and raiders as the opportunity arises. Travel lust is strong in those who follow the Viking Way.
