A young gypsy girl from the clan in Ghostwood Domain, Thistle has never left The Mist nor her clan. The third time she ran away, tired of the clan staying in the same place for the past seven years, she joined Branwyn on her trip to a wedding in Nouvelle Averoigne. When she returned, her grandmother, knowing she would likely run away again, let Thistle join the group provided she helped Branwyn with her daughter, and knowing Shi'Nynze would do what she could to watch out for her.
Thistle can be feisty, often does as she pleases, and absolutely hates being treated like a child. Those she respects may be able to reign her in at times, but those who have yet to earn it might be targets of her mischief. Often a victim of boredom, she'll find ways to make her own fun, sometimes leading to trouble.
During the beginnings of Building Dragon Fen, Thistle was mostly focused on learning everything she could, attempting to balance being helpful while trying to stave off endless boredom, and reveling in the freedom gained from leaving home.
Thistle's growth during Third Time Is Tradition is marked by her fascination with love and romance novels. While many easily write this off as a normal teenage obsession, and Thistle may claim it is due to her finally learning how to read and write, the timing of it is no coincidence. The chances of her ever admitting it are slim to none, but in truth, she simply wants to believe in true love and happy endings after witnessing the exact opposite happening to her biggest role model.
