As the group awaits the bugbear ship, they try to be alert. Most fail except Craigh.

So as you were watching the approaching boat closely, it appears that there was a second one laying in ambush behind you, staying between you and the sun as it sets

But you managed to detect their rowing at the last moment before they could get close enough to board
Bugbear (Reflective charcoal skirt) throws a spear at Youtargim. It misses and flies over Indigo’s head and lands in the water.

The bugbear captain for the ship at the stern brings the boat around to close
