Scary
A small hamlet in Gold Hills this is one of the only places that hard metals are mined. Tucked away in a corner the South Shire up against the Central Mountains and the Old Forest, Scary is for hardy folk. The population is 90 percent Hin with a a handful of Dwarves who also work the mines. More Dwarves and a few Hin spend more time in the mines then in town. At the end of the Old Forest Way from Frogmorton few honest people travel to Scary other than the occasional mercenary captain and their staff on the way to the Hoarbrite Pass and those interested in the mines.
The main families of Scary are Ionswort, Diggle, and Puddifoot. Three families of Dwarves of the Blacklocks Clan also live inside the walls.

The adventurers visited Scary during the Court of Thanes story arc in search of an orc ambush site in the Old Forest.
