Gems

There are many different types of gems to be found in the world. Some are made into jewelry or other items that are considered treasure and others are used in magic of various sorts. The list of Gem Properties can inspire characters with ideas.

When gems are found as part of a treasure as individual items they will be classified both by size and by value. Value will typically be given as a monetary value of x gold pieces or the equivalent.

Sizes are given relative to the size of a standard coin:

This can be used to find how much volume is taken up by a handful of gems.
