Khan's Log

(Part of players log for Orcs with pointy Ears story arc)

Day 1 (fill in from chat log)

I feel alive again. All of the DragonSlayers and all of their friends together and I felt right at home. I have to remember how much faith the fallen DragonSlayers had in me. I hope I can make the adventure as fun as with Kira Fancy, to be as confident as Ty but still get things done like Chonny. I write this log, not just for my own sake, for the DragonSlayers to come. While I write my own thoughts, I must also write the discussion of the group, so that others will understand who we are. We are DragonSlayers.

Entry 2

After checking all the stuff in the party pack, Paul was willing to cast the Call spell and now we have what I like to call the Paul Pager. Then when I went over the cast of characters and realized we did not have a priest, we had to wait two days for Finglas to make us some potions. Clearly there were not enough horses for everyone but it's ok we have the scroll of shelter. Oh wait, no we don't. We are not THE DragonSlayers, we do not get to take the scroll. Looks like I am carrying my own stuff. As lest someone has a bag of holding to help a little more then normal. Looks like enough, so we took off. Or rather got dropped off near the latest orc raids.

The town people are less then helpful, but I think it lets the group develop a personality, learn the strengths and personalities of each other. Tori clearly wants to help, but is still over reacting to a prejudice that really does not occur with most adventurers. Valiant likes to talk, as much as we do not know him or his sponsor, I feel weird letting him talk. I thought Brad, a follower of Finglas would be better, but clearly, he should only talk to Elves, and even then we will have to see. Maybe Rhys is the big surprise. He seems to be direct without being rude. Of course this is just the preliminaries. We will see when the fighting begins.

As far as the mystery, it is clear we will not get the answers here. Nice people, but they were not close enough to the action. Their faith in the Elves and their disconnection with the outside world does not allow then to understand something is wrong here, other than Orc raiders. We must be off to see the elves and maybe this wizard in a tower.

Why do wizards always seem to have towers? Where is my tower?

Entry 3 Jun1308

So far, we have gained little information on this quest for answers. We had just decided to go into the woods and towards the tower when a young male comes up and makes it clear he is coming with us. I would rather him know we know he is following then have an unknown following us. Clearly he does not know the woods as much as I would hope for a Druid. He gave no warning to the noisy fungus. I was too concerned for keeping track of him so I ran into the brush to see what was going on but ran into the mouth of an Ankheg. So when I woke up I had a massive head ache. It seems I was the only one to take damage, which is a good thing and our Druid friend helped me out so he has a chance to help us. A short time later we ran into a small group of orcs. I tried to get around them but by the time I did most were dead or ran away. Good thing Tori took my instructions and got one left to talk to, not that it did that much good. Guess what, we are still heading to the tower and the most we got out of the orc is that the wizard and elves are against the orc. Gee, I would not have guessed that. Brad has some promise in combat and the elf that Paul sent along is too sneaky for me, but she is not the only one.

Entry 4 Jun2008 (Klooge update)

So the Druid does not really know how to get to the tower, the orc is confused and/or confusing. But let me see if I can put this into words. Some time after the first raids by humans pretending to be DragonSlayers, a bounty hunter, who we do not know the name but we can talk to someone in town about, rode by with a dead elf. At that point the elves were naturally upset, causing more issues for the orcs, and some one who looked like orcs, acted more like well supported bandits with magic raiding in this area and pretended to be DS's. And if the orc is to be believed, the elves are more calm now. There may or may not be a wizard, as no one has seen him, we think there is a tower and that if we walk in these woods some elves should find us. Seems strange that they have not yet made contact. I wonder if they are watching us. ::waves to the woods around us::

Entry 5 Jun2708

I have a bad feeling. The first night comes and we are still not working as a team. Too many secrets and too not enough discipline. I have to remember most are not as old and experienced as me. I think we have settled on watches, though I am uneasy with the combinations we have worked out.

Well, ok for watch one. The little one certain knows what she is doing. Sounds like Cohen is clearly not from around here. (BOB is dropping that hint like a 200 lb dumbbell) Maybe that is why my hair is standing on end. If something happens, can I trust him if he finds out I am a troll. And would it exposes us as DragonSlayers? No, can't think about that now, I have a watch to worry about. What's that. Where did she go......

That was weird. I do not know if I can put it into words. Ouch. Yea, that is the best way to put it. I have been wounded before and healed, but that was a first. I have been brought back from the dead before but this was something else. The death was more painful, yet calm, because I knew I was going to be ok. The seance of slowing regaining life was like the feeling of waking from a deep sleep. So disorienting. I can see why trolls are so savage, if I keep experiences that I would go mad too.

I have to remember to thank the dark mage. First, lets see how he handles his new found respect.

Entry 6 Jul1108

After a rough night, the day is going pretty smooth. After a good night rest Brad was very charming with the elven ladies we found. He forgot momentary our plans and mentioned we were Dragonslayers, but it no worries. The dark twins seems to almost want to hunt them down, but a brisk walk and the elves we were waiting for found us. I am a little worried about Tori, either she is hitting on me by running into me or she needs to work on her observation stills, but I digress. Brad was charming again with the male elves who seemed to appreciate we were Dragonslayers, knew what we wanted and asked to do what we were going to do anyway for what we wanted, it could not be any easier.

Ok, so at the tower the Raven had a couple riddles, one was wrong in my view point, I guess most common people think the Sun is not a star, I wish I could.. oops, better not say that. I almost over thought the hat question, but then again if a king really did that the hat would be white. The third one sounded familiar but at least it was logical, so into the tower we go.

We only have until daybreak, or we can not leave, I find that hard to believe. Still lets not dally. So many directions, we may have to split up. Wait, let me think, if I were a wizard, well i am. IF I was a wizard with a tower like this, where would I sleep? Maybe this is one giant riddle.

Entry 7 Jul1808

So far the tower has not been the issue. At first no one seemed to care as I guided them to the top to seach top down. We even found a sleeping mage. Trueoak is gong to be as much help as Chohen, why do they want to come along, he did not even know the elves here, maybe one. Then Val and Mentor seem to decide to lead the group and everyone followed, except for Tori. Seems she won't open a door without specific instructions. She still needs some work. While we found sleeping elves on the second level, Mentor and the gang found lots of sleeping elves and a few floating heads they dispatched with out too much issue. It seems we have explored the entire tower, it was crasy for a while, so many independent people, so many who lacked motivation or direction. I think if I get Mentor and Val in place, the rest will be easy to lead. So all we have to do is figure out why they are all sleeping. Oops, I think the Raven lied, or was not fully disclosing. We seem to be traped already, I thought we had until day break. We just need to go over the details and get out of here. Clearly this has nothing to do with our situation, and with as much help as Trueoak and Chohen have been, I doubt the Elves really know anything on our real problem. This is just a distraction.

Entry 8 Jul2508

It ended up quite easy to wake the mage, though it makes no sence from all the magic in this world. There is a whole new school that I do not want to get involded in. But we helped the mage, got the information we needed and more. The elves were responsible for the raids, pawns of a enchantress calling herself Mercedes. The mage Gala has told us she is shileded or left the plane but has pointed us in the right direction. Val and Mentor seem distracted by the acqistion of knowledge if only for their own use, but I guess that os to be expected from their type. Now let us see what kind of leader I am if I can get them to follow me on the path or not.

Enrty 9 Aug 01 08 Start of "The Magic of Music"

Well they listens and followed, not all happy but we are on the way. One whole day with no incidents.

Entry 10 - Snow

Entry 11 - Snow

Entry 12 you get the idea

Entry 13

After a lot of snow and more snow, we ran into a Cloud Giant. He was surpries to see us and kind enough to let us visit and help us cross his mountains. I really want to get to a building, just so everything is not white.

Entry 14 Aug 08 08

Well we certainly are out of the snow and into the fire. The extremely small village we came to seems to have a few issues. First they are here, second they have a bog with giant frogs that eats their pigs and finally they had a hidden forest suddenly appear. The elves in the forest have their own issue. If I understand thing correctly our Mercedes messed with them, took their magic flute or some instrument that kept their forest hidden. Now there is only one elf and her companion transformed into a blue griffin (who chose not to kill us while we slept), awake in the forest. In order to be allowed to live, we have to find an old friend, a wizard in a tower, east of here. (Another tower) At least we are on our quest at the same time, it just seems to work out that way for me.

Entry 15 Oct 10 08

Well according to Gretchen Itang I should be dead. Actual undead, which is much scarier. I have been dead a few time. Clearly I am not the leader I should have been. Thank goodness for the DragonSlayers. I need to be alone for a while. I wish the DragonSlayers luck on their journey.
