Swamp Monster - Session Summaries
The group was happily celebrating the completion of Snee's new residence and shrine to Aclim. As Branwyn and Thistle were speaking with two new elves that had recently shown up there was an interruption. Tiffress Wildwander came to speak with Talwin. The news from the mining district was problematic. A majority of the gnomes working the mines were upset and were about to leave to head east to the swamps northeast of the Craniate Wastes to rescue extended family members from a swamp monster. After a quick discussion Talwin agreed to take a group out to investigate immediately in exchange for the miners to continue to work.
Talwin gathered up Indigo, Emerald and Skarp to go along with him. The two new elves N'Laea and Raelynn decided to join and see how The Mist affects the natural world. Brer and Sundown chose to follow along to see what the group would discover.
A quick visit to the Lucky Dwarf Mine to get some details from the gnome miners resulted in hearing that two relatives of gnomes working the mines had family that disappeared. The group was warned that they should head north before venturing east to avoid the goblin king's territory. An hour later after passing the Copper Fire Mine that was just beginning to begin producing the group came to the edges of the Battle of Hastilton Hill battlefield site. On the southeast corner of the site the group was surprised by a band of goblins.

- While kLoOge is not fixed, we begin at the battle with the goblins.
- Sundown is killed before he can do anything with two crits and high damage.
- One goblin is left alive, runs into the nearby cave, but is not hunted down.
- It is decided to bring Sundown back, but with the loss of CON, he no longer qualifies as a paladin.
- Raelynn and Sundown go back to Skull Church while the party continues on the path.
- First watch is Badgers and reveal of N'laea speaking the language Woodland Creatures.
- Third watch is a scorpion easily scared away after realizing it's overpowered.
- Stirges attack the group in the morning, but are otherwise unnoteworthy.
- We're reminded that we're entering water without a boat and continue to next session.
- We're informed there is a fishing village nearby and try to find a way to find it.
- Charades with nearby vultures leads us south and with some new friends.
- The bullywug tracks from earlier reveal themselves to be... bullywugs attacking us.
- Bullywugs dead, all have glass daggers, but none used the daggers on us.
- We see something in the mist, try to move away from it, do not move fast enough.
- Single breath of stream from Dragon Turtle kills Indigo and Griff, disables Emerald and Talwin, hurts Skarp, Brer, and N'laea.
- Party gets to safe ground, binds wounds, and decides to go back to the church rather than stumble around for gnome village.
- Brer and N'laea set up camp and prepare for the night before they can reach the church.

- First watch with most party dead ends up with players here to heal, to revive, to talk and get us through the night.
- We are introduced to the gnome teenagers Gninthick and Jisthaock who talk about a swamp monster different from the one that nearly killed us all.
- During watch, Indigo and Skarphedin have a philosophical conversation about death.
- With the revival of Admiral Indigo, we have our persuasive force to get the gnomes to agree to take us to their fishing village.
- Thungrat, at the fishing village, gives us the location of the turtle lair as they use it to store all their treasures which we agree to return.
- We manage to get skiffs and rafts from the village as well as told of ruins nearby to camp.
- After some discussion, we grab extra help and supplies from the Church and Dragon Fen before we decide to go after the Dragon Turtle.
- During first watch, Sundown pledges himself to Branwyn for reasons.
- During second watch, Indigo, Brer, and Tiberius talk about death and such.
- During third watch Talwin, Emerald, Thistle, and N'laea talk about sadness and missing people.
- We arrive at the lair only to be beset upon by bullywugs. Some go underwater, some get some heat resistence, some search the lairs, others stay on the land.
- Kenna lowers the water around the lair with hopes the turtle is there and will delay it.
- Talwin and Brer get heat protection and go underwater to explore the lair where Talwin gets stuck and Brer manages to get back out.
- Indigo and Tiberius go underwater looking for the turtle and finding bullywugs.
- Everyone else is on land fighting bullywugs, looking for turtle, or saving teenage gnomes.
- Dragon Turtle appears thanks to the free bullywug food, Tiberius attacks, Indigo joins the attack, Skarp saves their hides by attacking from behind seconds before they were to be roasted and instead redirecting the attention of the Dragon Turtle.
- Dragon Turtle dies, we all survive, hip-hip hooray!
