Rules of Heraldry for Terraguard
This section contains a listing of each of the approved Blazons known in the world. The title of this page is a misnomer, as not all of the blazons listed here are acknowledged in Terraguard. Any exceptions to rules described in the Rules of Heraldry for those living in Terraguard are here as well. There is also a listing of individual families Heraldic Crests.
There is a separate listing of all the priesthood symbols for the Heraldric Blazon for each church.
Name of Country/Organization - Description of Blazon - Meaning of Blazon - {note if not acknowledged by Terraguard}
- Athenĉum - A quill dipped into a pot of ink missing a specified number of feathers - a feather with one gap means friendly, two gaps means assistance, three gaps means resources - {not acknowledged by Terraguard}
- Cavalry of Flont - A green square field bisected to the middle by a gold jagged line A bolt of lightning entering a field of battle
- Family of Kanan - A brown bow with an arrow knocked and drawn centered in a yellow field that is diagonally crossed by fine green lines The family crest of the High Elven Kanan family that lives in the hills along the slopes of the Central Mountains on the western edge of the Wildlands; adopted by the family to be approved by the Herald of Terraguard
- Order of Brotherhood - A long sword held vertical on a gray field clasped by two hands each entering from opposite lower corners The blazon for the Paladin order of Drillian demonstrating the bonds of brother hood and dependence on each other, the grey stands for The Mist where most of the battles the Brotherhood engages in as they hunt the Vampire Lords
- Order of the Eagles - An equilateral triangle This represents the three truths of Faithfulness, Readiness & Bravery that all members of the guard organization for The Nest swear to. {not acknowledged by Terraguard}
- Order of the Griffon - A blue field bisected diagonally by a lance with a griffon's head in the upper left corner and a saddle in the lower right corner - blue for the skies that the Order flies in protection of the Kingdom of Terraguard.
- Rectors of Castle Hoarbrite - a table set with a cup and a loaf of bread both in gold on a grey triangle set in a field of green - green for the fields of battle, grey for the mountain the table for service
- Rivers Bend - A square green field with four blue lines in the lower half and two pine trees next to each other in the upper left quadrant with a single pine tree in the upper right quadrant - The blue lines stand for the four settlements that make up Rivers Bend and the pine trees represent the original three families that founded Rivers Bend.
