Story Arc Concept

It was a simple plan for this story arc. I wanted to pick an existing off the shelf module that we could use to start to learn Fantasy Grounds more completely. The first fully interactive map line of sight effects, better language functions, time and calendar functions were all explored.

When looking around for such an adventure in the Fantasy Grounds store there were some that would take a fair bit of work to fit into our campaign world. I was looking for an Elven based adventure that would be a bit challenging and give us several sessions so we could all learn how to use the platform better. I looked at just finding a map and creating something from scratch. Then while re-reading the wonderful stories that Carissa, Mario and others had contributed I stumbled again onto a line in the notes on Olympus struck me. Giants.

So for our first real story arc using our new very forward looking Fantasy Grounds platform I went far back into the original modules published for D&D Steading of the Hill Giant Chief from 1978. Bringing it 44 years into the future both technologically and thematically.

Feed Back & Recollections

This story arc was fun to play around with different program functions as well as character interactions. I liked learning new things about the program, we started using Extensions much more extensively during this time. I also slowly learned (or un-learned) keyboard short cuts and found news ways of making the platform closer to how we play and to have everything feel more customized.
