Leveling
As characters earn Experience points during their adventurers they will go up in level. The Experience Charts show how many points are needed to reach each level. There are several things that change with each level; some of them require training and some do not.
Things that do not require training but potentially change each level include:
- Hit Points - found on Experience Charts
- Saving Throws
- THAC0
- Mage and Priests additional spells per level
- Detection Slots - found on Proficiencies
- Priests granted Powers
- Paladin granted Powers
- Ranger granted Powers
- Warrior attacks per round
- Fatigue points
Things that characters can add only after training has taken place include:
- Proficiencies
- Thief Special Abilities
- Mage and Priests new spell levels
Not all characters can go up in level indefinitely. It varies by Race and by Class.
